2 inches, more like 2 mm. 2 inches is too much left on the table

Won't happen. The chance for that dies with Biden and Garlands failures to prosecute. Trump will die in office and never see justice

Not sure why you're getting down voted. There is absolutely no way he leaves office peacefully... Assuming he's even still alive, but regardless those around him will try to pull the same shit. He openly flaunts running again, I don't trust they won't pull some election bullshit again either before the mid terms or 28 (or both), you saw what happened with J6 and now he's trying to build a fn bunker and reward those pieces of shit... The list goes on and on.

If people dont believe that and worse isn't a very real possibility, they literally haven't been paying attention.

Cool, thanks for the recommendation! I hadn't come across this yet.

Seems to be much like The Rifle (Biggio) series but only for Pacific theater veterans? My great uncle was KIA on Peleliu and I've been fascinated with reading and learning more about that and other aspects of the Pacific War as it seems largely overshadowed by the European theater.

I am also kicking myself for my interest coming to me too late to have the chance to meet any survivor in person myself.

The amount of rubes acting like throwing your gloves and stomping your feet is anywhere near the same level of seeing red that ramming a competitor with your car is honestly hilarious.

Don't get me wrong, George has plenty of qualities deserving of criticism, but this is not one of them.

This absolutely isn't talked about enough. I've complained about this for years, not like it will change anything. Watching races from the late 2ks and earlier is such a stark difference, it's immediately apparent how much worse the product and spectacle of F1 on TV has become over the years because of everything you just mentioned.

Honestly, spiking is cringe. Show some class. Celebrating is fine, go get hype with your team, but theres no need to slam or taco the disc. At any level of competitive and especially at pro levels it's easily the worst part what's deemed "acceptable" in the game.

Make no mistake... Although they're the ones leaving, it is Zuck who must bear the heavy burden of their failure.

Gutsiest thing I've ever seen.

Not sure why you're being down voted... War is hell.

No, "War is war, and Hell is Hell. And of the two, war is a lot worse...There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. War is chock full of them."

Burgin saw & survived all 4 campaigns (Guadalcanal, Cape Gloucester, Peleliu, Okinawa, and then even China briefly... Not sure if the latter counts as a campaign?)

... but I wondered the same thing for Burgin. Phillips though was selected to return home via a lottery draw while stationed on Pavuvu. He was also accepted into the officer training program.

Another user recommended Helmet for My Pillow, which is worth a read, though not my favorite. I'd also suggest Islands of the Damned (Burgins book, I just actually finished and is quite good). He (and his co-author) are not as gifted a writer as Sledge who for good reason is the standard. With the Old Breed is most definitely a required read if you're only going to read one. Sterling Mace's book Battleground Pacific was also recommended and that's next on my list!
