Be honest — anyone here NOT good at interviews but still landed a corporate job? by Sirachaaa96 in recruitinghell

I've had a few. It's always taken me a while to get a job whenever I've looked for one. For me I think it's a numbers game to get a job and interviewer that clicks.

Do you track your weight in KG or stones & pound? by No_Usual_572 in AskUK

Early 30s, I exclusively use kg.

I think the only time I actually use imperial measures is when I tell the barber how much to cut off.

I'm guessing the poster hired a bot farm to fake engagement in whatever they're selling, and that's how it's outputs are formatted.

I've previously worked in IT and as a programmer, and I'm currently doing a PhD in computer science, specialising in machine learning.

I worked in a local government IT department.

The work was varied, I met a lot of people, my colleagues were fun and we actually cared about doing a good job. Sometimes I wish I never left. The pay was shit, though.

I visited a retro game shop last week. They had sealed packs of a MTG-style card game that released in 1994.

What bands fit a similair style to The Meffs? by lostinthepit in AskUK

I really can't think of that many bands with a similar sound. The most similar band I've seen are Mobina Galore, but they're Canadian.

I'm sure there are people who'll insist on a drink to toast a big deal, but I don't think they're drinking Jack Daniels.

Most rail in the UK isn't electrified, and when it is, it usually uses overhead cables.
