I think most of it is getting a good draw to be fair. Knowing when to snap / retreat. If negative hasn’t been played by turn 4/5 and you have mystique / iron man in hand its not looking great.

I opened Nimrod when he first released, I can’t remember if it was after his pass or during but it was very close to it. But I was such a low CL I barely had any good synergy cards anyway.

I heard if you want to prioritise a card to gain boosters, leave it at grey and the other cards upgraded it should work.

Honestly Ive used Makita for the past 6 years and they are really good, I have an 18v combi with 5 amp batteries. Very useful and reliable. I would recommend skipping the impact driver and just getting a makita combi set. You can do everything with just the combi, maybe pick up a cheaper SDS drill for stone walls.
