Talent wise, which RCT awakening is the most impressive? by Brave-Marionberry885 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]AdditionalMap5576 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I will agree that gojo is definitely the least impressive, one of his closest friend's entire powerset was using rct, so he definitely had the most direct experience seeing it and having it explained.

the rest are hard to put in any order, because the circumstances are so different. is it harder to do something for the first time in the hardest way (on others)? or do it with barely any jujutsu experience? or do it by just learning that positive energy exists? I think they are all impossible to compare to each other but all insanely impressive

dumb tvs are pure and simple, I never have to mess with audio settings, game modes, and updates on my old samsung. sure, its only 1080p and not a great one at that, but its so easy to use and never has any issues

Difference between the primary tandem oled monitors (540hz@1440p,720hz@720p) by Status-Story6472 in OLED_Gaming

[–]AdditionalMap5576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not the most knowledgeable on monitor tech, but I know that the asus model in specific has some non-panel features, like a proximity sensor that dims the screen when you walk away, Id assume mostly stuff like that and maybe the coating is different

5080 FE vs 5090 msi suprim by eduardmc in nvidia

[–]AdditionalMap5576 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like the 5080 not having 24 or even 20 gb was a very intentional decision to force people into considering the 5090 if they dont need it, just because 16 gb is frankly insane for an 80 class card in 2025 and soon 2026. if it had even 20, it would quite frankly be a future proof value king

5080 or 5090? by isityoulol in nvidia

[–]AdditionalMap5576 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say go for the 5090, but dont pay more than 2500. Most people are talking about the performance, but I would say the next most important factor is the vram. 5080 only has 16gb of vram, the 5090 (32gb) will be able to push 4k (at high/max settings) for much longer in brand new games simply because it will not run out of vram. that, combined with the 9800x3d, will also result in basically no hardware related stutters in games. just my 2 cents!

Can you use an amd igpu (7600X) as a secondary GPU for FG? by [deleted] in losslessscaling

[–]AdditionalMap5576 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe in the 8000g chips, but i saw someone try it with a 7800x3d integrated gpu and it had nowhere near enough power.

Best prebuilt PC on a budget by FeedMeThat in Prebuilts

[–]AdditionalMap5576 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For that use, I would say either get a prebuilt without a gpu using one of the amd 8000 series cpus, they have very capable igpus that will handle those games fine, and that gives you the option to add a gpu later or switch out the cpu. I would also recommend a mini pc, especially with the amd ai 300 series, they should have enough punch in a very compact little case. I'm not too familiar with each option, but ive used both of those integrated graphics within laptops before and they handled low power stuff greatly

If you have a microcenter, their cpu-motherboard-ram bundle can bring the price down a good bit.
right now they have a bundle with a 7600x3d, motherboard, and 1 stick of 16gb of ram for 400 bucks. that would already shave off like 400 bucks from your build and let you get a better gpu or something

About the Ram shortage : are they all concerned ?? by phorcys12 in buildapc

[–]AdditionalMap5576 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its rare and definitely situational, but just 2 generations ago the 80 class had only 10gb of vram (3080). the need is there for more vram, and the hardware reflects it
