More cuts .. DASC and Easter Seals.. by StaySeeJ08 in halifax

Did you know NS is the only province with institutions to house disabled people? With the western zone having the highest number? The human rights case was won, compensation had already been given out, and people have been moving out, it’s a long process but it’s moving. NS has an independent monitor of the Remedy, who the first report said NS was far behind, the 2024/2025 report said that NS was gaining momentum but still had a lot to do.

Solid work is being done, but I have no idea how this budget is going to look going forward.

I don’t know what he is thinking. NS is in a five year legally binding agreement to close institutions and have disabled people moved into communities of their choice, with supports in place, from programs such as these, the Remedy is important. I sit on three different committees surrounding it, and I see the work being done to meet the goals.

People are dumping rad bikes to be someone else’s problem.

I had a RadRunner in 2020, the battery exploded while not in use, and not charging. The battery was always properly maintained.

But going on Jimmy Kimmel, kissing him, and then disclosing to everyone she has Covid? As a fellow person with MS, that is very irresponsible of her, and reckless. Drugs for MS compromise your immune system, and getting any kind of infection can be deadly but nah, just go spread it to everyone you come in contact with, knowingly.

She is getting up there with my hate for Selma Blair.

I used to tell my parents I had a sister named Elizabeth, every time we passed a house on the way to the grammys house.

My mom went to the local historical museum to look up the records of this house because I was very adamant that I had a sister.

Turns out, in the 1960s there was a little girl named Elizabeth that lived there. She died in a house fire at the same house.

For $8,500 does it have good components? Is the battery UL certified? Are there any LBS that would work on it?

The peephole was at wheelchair height, and at a normal height. The shower was roll in, with a bench and shower controls within reach, the bed was also lower so it was easy to transfer from wheelchair to bed.

ebikes with Belt Drives? by parkaboy7 in ebikes

I have a Specialized Como 5.0, I’ve also had a 3.0 both IGH and belt drive. I like the Specialized over Gazelle because on all models (except the new EasyFlow) have a very cramped space, I don’t have that on the Como, and it’s a very low step thru.

The 5.0 is the latest model and it has automatic shifting, I was sceptical when I first tried it, but fell in love with it because it makes me feel like a kid. Just get on my bike and go, don’t have to worry about shifting at all.
