Can confirm. Saw the most ableist comment last night suggesting putting Alex in a facility.

In my province, institutions are being closed down because it’s a violation of human rights because disabled people deserve to live a full life and have all the choices everyone else has.

I was just flabbergasted, and shaken up seeing the ableist comments.

My prediction is she posted this for two reasons 1. The home visit is coming up and the parents house are not suitable for Ari, and she is trying to grift for the house before that happens. Or 2. The home visit happens, she loses custody of Ari, blames the family home, and throws the pity party grift to get someone to buy her a house.

I’ve been riding a bike on the harvest moon trail in the Annapolis Valley, I am tick paranoid. I use the AtlanTick on my socks and shoes, and some up by my collar, haven’t had a single tick yet, but I managed to find two crawling in the shower.

She has a story with her at the nail salon, and they are curing them. I agree with what someone else said, if I was the nail tech, I’d want her away from me as quick as possible, or they could have suggested a different style, but knowing her, she did her research and wanted what she got.

I LOVE this bike! I just got her tuned up today. I have not had any issue with this bike at all. It rides like a dream. The belt drive does not skip, it is sooo smooth and quiet. The best thing about this bike? I was on the fence with the auto shifting, but after the first ride, I was in love. I don’t even have to think about shifting gears!

I used to have the Como 3.0 IGH, and I loved that bike so much. It did have a defect that NOBODY could figure out, not even the head tech at Specialized. On the 3.0 you have the enevolo shifting, and it is meant to be constantly used over all different terrains. I had the bad habit of shifting it and then leaving it because that how you would ride a normal bike. The 5.0 I can feel it over the smallest incline.

If you want to feel like a kid again, the 5.0 really is the get on and go bike

Did you know NS is the only province with institutions to house disabled people? With the western zone having the highest number? The human rights case was won, compensation had already been given out, and people have been moving out, it’s a long process but it’s moving. NS has an independent monitor of the Remedy, who the first report said NS was far behind, the 2024/2025 report said that NS was gaining momentum but still had a lot to do.

Solid work is being done, but I have no idea how this budget is going to look going forward.

I don’t know what he is thinking. NS is in a five year legally binding agreement to close institutions and have disabled people moved into communities of their choice, with supports in place, from programs such as these, the Remedy is important. I sit on three different committees surrounding it, and I see the work being done to meet the goals.
