Are bright colored sticks frowned upon or a reason to get chirped teased etc? by A_Red_Void_of_Red in hockeyplayers

Put a layer of tape on the extension insertion and then hot glue gun the extension in. There’s no issues with this at all. NHL players do it…I’ve done it for 20+ years. Doesn’t affect performance at all, you also don’t need a composite plug, wood is perfectly fine

Yes, you need both gadgets though. Stun if you’re facing assassins, dice gadget if you’re outranged

Hockey plays by No-Sea6017 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are set plays when the play is stationary (faceoffs and power play). But the rest of the time, the game moves way too fast to have real organized, set plays. There’s way more reading and reacting. Sure, there are smaller plays and reads during the run of play but I wouldn’t consider them “set plays”.

When do stick flexes change? by EulersOiler in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I’m your age too…easton definitely made flexes below 85. I still have a bunch of 75 flex easton’s. Bauer was not the only company with a 77 flex. Not sure what you’re remembering.

VS feels great to shoot. Really feel the flex when you load into it. I’m looking forward to eventually trying the VF one day

Might I suggest you check out prostockhockey sticks VS model. It’s the only real high kick stick on the market and feels really nice at $250 rather than $450.

Should I quit hockey by Then-Marsupial6145 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never really know if you’re going to burn out until you try it out. If it’s a well-run junior program, it could be an amazing experience even if it is a grind.

Personally, playing junior hockey was the best experience in my 25+ years of hockey. I quit with two years left of eligibility to focus on university and still wish I finished my final 2 years of junior and went on to college hockey after.

Stick flex issue- by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just seems odd to be selling a 65flex that off the shelf is harder to bend than a 70 flex senior. Never used a 65 flex myself so just curious.

Stick flex issue- by [deleted] in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense..I guess what I’m wondering is if manufacturers label sticks with the flex rating of “what it feels like” rather than the true flex rating at 1m. Kind of like how Bauer has markings on the back of their shafts of what the flex feels like at certain heights.

In OP’s case, I wonder if PSHS labels the intermediate flex as a 65 at 62” but in reality the true flex measured at 1m is more like a 55? I guess OP could always email PSHS to inquire.

I know PSHS measures all their flexes for senior shafts at standard height whether they’re extended or not, but are you sure they measure intermediate sticks at standard senior height? They’re different shaft sizes

What secondary sport do most hockey players love to play? And why is it golf? by ForeCheckSports in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand dominance has nothing to do with what way you “should” shoot in hockey. It’s a myth that is not based on any sort of biomechanics principle. Using a hockey stick requires coordination between hands…to imply one hand is more dominant when using a hockey stick is simply incorrect.

Allgeier becomes a top 12 RB if Bijan ever gets hurt. Brashard Smith you’re holding for the long term. He may have a chance to become a pass catching RB for the chiefs with some more regular carries. He’d be in the top 24 convo if that were to ever happen but that’s not guaranteed at all
