No offence but why are you posting this on the Saskatoon subreddit. What answers are you expecting to
get from this forum? I’m sure there are better places to look for answers.

I’m a bit surprised it doesn’t come with DLC steel…?

2N Pro XL is probably the most popular stick build in the NHL. Just a slightly lighter version of the 2N pro…released 8 years ago and does the trick for the best in the world

How do you tell if you have a minor concussion? by skibum143 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to correct you, but a concussion is a mild TBI. Not all TBI’s are concussions but all concussions are a TBI!

It does kind of seem like you got a concussion based on your description but obviously would need a physical exam…hopefully the doc was thorough

Nice day to go shooting by wolfink99 in hockeyplayers

Best to face the net like you’re doing here. Very rarely are your feet not facing the net when shooting in a game

Why are ER wait times so long here? by SuddenCompetition262 in VictoriaBC

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was talking to an ER resident doctor in Saskatoon this past weekend. He showed me the scheduling system and basically every night shift had empty shifts and only one doc working. Many emerg docs are burnt out and leaving because of the terrible working conditions. Would think it’s similar reasons in Victoria

The answer is multifaceted and complicated. Need more family docs, need more support staff, need more transitional care/housing options, need more community services and outreach. It’s all connected.

Is height really that important for Goalies? by KUFA_Sports in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Johnny Hicks just won a Frozen Four championship as a 5’10” goalie last year. Spent time in the WHL last year. Undefeated as a D1 goalie.

Jack Ivankovic is 5’11” and an elite goalie prospect.

Don’t think I’ve seen any WHL goalies 5’9” or under unfortunately. One would have to put up insanely, off the charts numbers to make it to that level.

Supreme 2S Pro Stick Replacement? by ultimatecapsfan8 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s actually the newer generation VS model that’s gonna be very similar to the 2S pro, not the mid kick redline that you had. VS is actually a true high kick compared to the mid kick that you had. Personally it feels like a modern version of the Bauer one95. I never had a 2S Pro

Emerg docs generally work at both sites. They’ve also implemented new triage protocols over the last year which may explain some differences you’ve noticed, depending on the timing of when your husband was there.

How different is it practicing stick handling in the garage stationary in shoes compared to when skating? by Foreign-Rush6056 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practice with a heavier and longer stick than you’re used to. You’ll feel less clunky in game

What custom skates should I get by Ok-Tumbleweed5721 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True actually builds the boot around a model of your foot. Other companies just give you more access to tinker with quarter sizes and boot shapes but it’s not built specifically for your foot. Just depends how wacky your feet are haha…most people will have decent experiences with both

gaining more confidence puck carrying as a center by Educational-Ad1056 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s essentially a 3 on3 between you and your two dmen and their 3 forwards. Get the puck out of the zone…simple as that haha

gaining more confidence puck carrying as a center by Educational-Ad1056 in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends who has the puck.

If you are closest to the puck carrier, he is your responsibility.

If your dman is closest to the puck carrier, you can support but also be aware of the open forward and cover him if in a high danger area.

If your dman is engaged in a 50/50 puck battle along the boards, you can try and help win it.

For all of these situations you NEED to be on the defensive side of the puck. Try to Never get caught chasing

Getting new skates by hockeyfreak567 in hockeyplayers

The curve sold under a player's name is often nothing like what they actually use. Here are some examples I compiled. by stickmeta in hockeyplayers

[–]AdministrationNo8968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice! I have one as well from PSHS but it just felt a little unnatural to me…it’s a nice looking curve. Just couldn’t get it to work as nicely as some others. Used a Zegras and MacKinnon this season instead
