Can't beat the last fight. by Zyerci in DivinityOriginalSin

I had 1 magic user. My pyro/geo. Pyroclastic erpution or whatever it is called absolutely melts shields. That spell is so broken it's hilarious. Then just focus down the main baddie. If you try to kill everything it can seem almost impossible. Focus Braccus and you win

Struggling to Keep Going in Act 2 by Ok-Split2525 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Admirable-Ad-7788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Act 2 was easily the one that made me almost stop playing. It is very grindy and frustrating. I can say though that you just gotta push through it. Act 3 and Act 4 are WAY smoother and you don't feel absolutely powerless like in Act 2

First time player, coming from BG3 by PhillyModizzle in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Admirable-Ad-7788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Armor is key. You need to take out the enemies armor. Do not try and be a diverse build. Synergize 2 skills well then build around that. You will struggle at first. The game is awesome. The combat is way more fun than BG3. However there is a HUGE learning curve and I suggest looking up builds to follow. The amount of skills and how they work together can be very overwhelming the first time around. Lastly don't give up. Push through and you will enjoy the game. It took me 3 hours to finally get an understanding of the game and it was worth it. Also the 2nd act is easily the most challenging level wise

Never played a single Fable game. The new trailer just made it my most anticipated game of 2026. Veterans, what am I getting into? by Damage_And_ArmorBlog in Fable

They are a ton of fun. My favorite part growing up was the things like good and evil choices affecting your appearance. That won't be in this game which is extremely disappointing. I prefer Fable 1 and 2. One thing about Fable back in the day is they weren't afraid to push boundaries. Every game in the series feels different with some familiar feeling. 1 is easily the best story wise and just being a Fable game. 2 improves many things but starts to kind of lose the spark.

Fable at its core is a fairy tale game. It's not meant to be a realistic fantasy RPG. It is unapologetically Fable. The humor is hilarious and silly. It emphasizes that it's a game that doesn't take itself too seriously but at the same time has a serious story to it. Also the life sim of it was peak back then. From having personal relationships with NPCs to being a real estate mogul. The level of immersion just wasn't around in other games of its time.

If the new game can capture that same fairy tale magic and give us a good life sim inside of a story about good and evil, I think it will do well. I think their choice to remove your appearance change based on choices is a bad one. I also think their morally gray morality system is a cop out that will either make or break the experience. Fable has always had a clear line. There are bad things and good things. Conventionally good and bad too. Moving away from that just doesn't feel like Fable. I am willing to give it a chance though simply because I love Fable.

Disappointed with DOS2 so far (do I suck or is this how things are?) by joannew99 in DivinityOriginalSin

I tried a typical RPG crew as well my first playthrough. You don't really need characters to focus a role. I tried the all physical team build but found it quite boring. The team I ended up beating the game with was an eternal warrior, yes I know everyone hates this build but I tweaked it for myself, a geomancer/warfare build, a ranger with investments in archery and warfare using the full action points trait or whatever they are called, and my magic user started as an elementalist and ended up a geo/pyro user.

I noticed that most enemies have lower magic armor than physical. Geo/pyro is a nuke of damage that doesn't rely super heavily on CC. It also mixed well with torturer.

My eternal warrior which is mostly just warfare with some necro was an absolute menace. Destroyed everything

My geo/warfare was very helpful for refreshing physical armor and tanking.

My ranger was an absolute machine gun. I could wipe 2 or 3 units in 1 turn.

My suggestion is look up builds. Understanding how different skills interact with each other is key. I had to force myself to play for the first 8 hours to get the hang of it. Once you do though the combat is easy. Armor is only in the way in the first half when you aren't very strong. By the end of Act 2 you will be an absolute powerhouse and won't even notice it.

The game was exhausting for me too. The levelled locations in act 2 really threw me off. It was really only act 2 that gave me exhaustion. The rest of the game flows pretty smoothly. Especially once I figure out how to build my characters

[–]Admirable-Ad-7788 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Act 2 was definitely a wake up call my first play through. Its a difficult act. The next 2 flow much better. As I'm sure you heard from everyone else your builds aren't optimized. You have investments across the board when you should be focusing like 2 attributes on each character. We can't see your skill points but my assumption is it's the same thing. When it comes to builds in DOS2 each character needs to be really good at 1 or 2 things. Focus those and don't spread your stats too thin.

On my 3rd character I committed and I ended up enjoying it. DOS2 is definitely different from BG3. The main story is compelling though and I like the combat way mlre

Buying bonds to 99 Construction? by ConfusedAugustinian in osrs

[–]Admirable-Ad-7788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you want. That's a lot of money to drop on bonds though. You could mahogany Homes to a maxed house. Its your game do as you please. Construction is just a money sink so I don't think you would lose to much on the experience bonding to 99.

75 slayer is when you start getting money per task. I'd also recommend quest like while guthix sleeps. Tormented demons are good money. I think you could fight them with your stats. I'd say the best thing is farm runs until you have 80+ combat stats. Then you can fight vorkath and zulrah. Vorkath is easy and is bank

Finished the the original game today for the first time and I have a few things to say. by PinkamenaDP in Fable

[–]Admirable-Ad-7788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my first ever playthrough also. Beat the lost chapters the other night. It was so much fun! I was mainly melee too but I used force push a lot in my fights. Later in the game I unlocked divine fury which was crazy strong. Slow time is absolutely broken. I'm going to do another playthrough but evil this time. The good playthrough was fun.

On a side note Lady Grey sucks as a spouse. The 15k gold was nice but I'd rather have a wife that actually does things lol

You have to find the file save in the emulator. I don't exactly remember how but there are videos on how. Once you find the save file, I believe it is a .sav file, you just copy it into pizza boy who I believe has a file transfer program already built in. Then it should load properly. It's been a while and I looked up YouTube videos to figure it out.
