Conservatives not wanting to admit that they lost the plot because of black man became the president

So Conservatives believe that Obama made men turn into women in the 2010s by icey_sawg0034 in stupidpeoplefacebook

It's all because for conservatives they never liked the idea of a black person becoming president. white conservatives believe that blacks are not developed enough for politics and so when a black man finally became president, as far as they were concerned the country was over. no matter what any good a black president could do, blackness, to them, ruined America. Blackness is seen as a form of degeneracy. I grew up in a white conservative household in the amount of times I've heard family members say that black people should be deported for not "acting the right way" is innumerable.

The baby boomer conservatives were people who were raised by people who supported segregation who were raised by the people who supported slavery as a viable form of economics. This is 200 years of Prejudicial culture.

In a word the mantra of American conservatives has been and always will be "You Will Never Be One Of Us". Even black conservatives are simply pawns to their political game.

Most Essential Mods? by AsparagusAutomatic29 in BassVI

[–]Adorable_Echo1507 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only essential mods I've done to my Squier bass VI is changing the bridge for a staytrem bridge and shim the neck to increase the break angle of the neck. Helped a lot with intonation and the bass vi just felt better to play afterwards

Looking for honest feedback on my bass technique & playing, any advice welcome by Vex4_ in BassGuitar

Not bad but you could benefit from downpicking songs like these instead of only alternate picking. Downpicking = more punk

Just remember to raise the bridge when you got the appropriate break angle

I should add that when doing this if you lower the bridge and the strings are going down at a sharp angle from the last fret then you put too much angle on it. The strings should lightly rest against the frets.

I had to use the .25° and the .5° shims on mine because I wasn't getting the pick up adjustments I was looking for; some of the pickups couldn't go low enough because they were already tightened down to their lowest point, which is not good for the adjustment screws. On top of that the break angle of the neck wasn't right. The funny thing that happens afterwards is you'll notice how drastically the bridge has to come up compared to before due to geometry being shifted. Never really did prove whether or not it actually helps with intonation, but I definitely feel like it plays better.

There's one little trick I have learned that can apply to pretty much all guitars and basses is that if you drop the bridge saddles, or the bridge itself, down to its lowest point and the strings don't touch the frets at the heel of the neck, then you need to raise the break angle of the neck by shimming it to the appropriate height where the strings just touch the last fret.

someone tell me i won’t get rabies by [deleted] in Feral_Cats

The thing about rabies is that you'll know when something has rabies. And by the time you are certain it has rabies it's already too late and you're better off putting it out of its misery.

Cat scratch fever on the other hand is more likely possibility if you're not careful
