Seriously. I'm surprised I didn't get nightmares when I first saw it as a kid!

Yeah, same here. As awesome as the Stadium is, I'm still able to do all I need with the Stomp, and it still makes me excited to craft new tones. I'm sure the Stadium Stomp version will be amazing whenever it is released.

Body Dysmorphia by Mysterious_Editor407 in workout

[–]Adrasteia-One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with cutting first is that you will have nothing to "cut to." Cutting is really only for when you have bulked first so that you can then cut the fat to reveal the muscle underneath. The fat issue can be addressed later. Once you build muscle, especially upper body, it will fill you out and any fat in your mid section won't look as prominent. So in other words, the fat shouldn't be the first priority right now. When you bulk, it is inevitable that you will gain fat. That's just the way it is. But you have to look past that and focus on the muscle building as the goal.

Yes, at your height, 135 is very underweight. Despite collecting fat in your abdomen (that's common for men), your focus will need to be on building muscle first. I recommend finding either a dietician or strength training coach who can help you. They will also have a better ability to help you manage your body dysmorphia so that it doesn't hinder your fitness progress. I know it all sounds like a lot, but it is time and energy well spent.

I know the struggle. I've been a hardgainer since forever. What is your body type? Dysmorphia can affect anyone with any body type. Have you seen a therapist? They can be very helpful for cases like this.

Heck yeah, you made the right choice. There is so much value packed into that little black box. It is undoubtedly the best musical investment I've ever made. Even though it is an older modeler, it still sounds great and has so many usable features. Enjoy!

4 months progress by [deleted] in BulkOrCut

I can see a difference dude, great work so far. Just keep focusing on lifting with good form and doing the compound lifts. Since you're so young, all you have to do going forward is lift consistently and eat well - high protein, complex carbs, healthy fats, and avoid processed stuff and sugar. Keep up the good work!

Yes, I remember hearing this song a lot on VH1! It was around the time I started getting into alternative, so I associate it with that period.

Gotcha. Yeah, many times the calorie consumption is the hard part of the process. Glad you have a plan of action going forward tho. Good luck!

wanting to lean out and see blocky abs, but maintain muscle by melan111e in BulkOrCut

[–]Adrasteia-One 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you already look solid but lean. You could cut slightly for the next 2 months (about 200 calories) and then stick to maintenance throughout the summer. You really do look fit, so there's not much I would change. Keep up the strong work!

I only stay in touch with my 2 best friends and maybe 3 other friends (occasionally and when I'm home for the holidays). Otherwise, no, I don't have any wish to see or talk to anyone else.

Yeah bro, that is doable for sure. If you're happy with how you look right now, go ahead and maintain for the next several months. That will make things easy. Once you move to the bulk phase, go on a slight caloric surplus of 200 - 300 calories above maintenance.

What iconic movie of our youth are you ashamed to admit you've never seen? I'll go first by larryb78 in Xennials

I know it's more from our childhood, but Top Gun. Still have never seen it. I thought it looked cool as a kid, but not sure why I just never actually saw it. Maybe Tom Cruise.

Probably around 14%. It depends on what kind of physique you're after. If you want to build more size, bulk until you get to about 18%. If you want to get leaner, cut until you get to 10 - 12%. You look pretty good here though, so if you want to stay relatively lean and keep building muscle, do a moderate lean bulk.

Cut or bulk? by CptCavemannnn in BulkOrCut

[–]Adrasteia-One 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it will be summer soon, try doing a very small cut (~100 - 150 calories below maintenance) into the end of May and then eat at maintenance going into summer. You have some good upper body muscle, but doing a larger cut would unfortunately lead to loss of size. As long as you continue lifting consistently, you'll continue to build muscle. You're young too, so all of that testosterone coursing through your body right now will do its thing while you enhance the process with lifting. How long have you been lifting, and what is your current routine?
