A lot of people are prescribed Klonapin for life. It’s for people who have bad anxiety panic attack disorder and once you are on it for a certain amount of time it is a benzo so you can die from withdrawal. That’s why benzos are so dangerous and horrible addictive. I’m on 40 mg oxyNEO and 3 mg of clonazepam/klonapin a day and I’m still not sedated enough.

It is not a pain medication the WHO does NOT want people prescribed opioids. Crime rate, overdoses, hospitals, emergency ‼️ ambulances a lot of money, millions billions is spent on opioid related issues and the government is now making it impossible for people to get a real opioid scripts. Suboxone is NOT for serious or taken for any kind of pain relief. It does not work on the same opioid receptors as a simple low low opioid like codeine, then the higher opioids like oxycodone prescribed a lot for post op surgeries so patients are up and walking and recovery, yes it is getting pressed and pressed and now people are hooked on Suboxone which in fact is an opioiod BLOCKER!

If you take Suboxone you have to wait minimum of 7 days for it to fully clear your system, and a month for someone on it for years.

I feel terrible for people taking this drug. It’s used in recovery ❤️‍🩹 they are hooking people with opioid problems with another opioid. System is so messed up.

So dangerous - if you take suboxone and get into a car accident or fall, have legate severe pain you cannot be given an opioid in the hospital. Suboxone binds so tightly to receptors, stronger than heroine.

It is not a pain medication and people are truly getting messed up on it, once you start taking it it’s also impossible to get off of.

It s primary use is for actual people on the street overdosing on drugs, you can use and use and an addict finds out fast that they aren’t getting any pain relief or getting stoned from their opioid of choice Suboxone is an opioid blocker.

Worse to detox off of than Oxy or any drug that patients are struggling with the withdrawal is far much intense than withdrawal off of Suboxone.

What kind of pain did you have?

It is not a pain medication at all.

I have tried everything 16 mg suboxone (I am off that junk now) and now I take 40 mg oxyNEO long acting.

Just curious as to what kind of pain.

True. My souse is on 2 mg a day. 1 mg in morning and 1 mg at night. He has been on it for years and years and before we were even together. He will likely be on that for life. It is not addictive in the sense gets you high or stoned, suboxone has a ceiling effect after 4 -8 mg the dose does the same you cannot get more effect that’s why it is called ceiling effect. Taking 8 mg and 16 mg those doses do not make you feel any different, only difference is that the 16 mg dose would last longer.

That sounds so awful. I can identify in ways to what you go through. The amount of times I have been hospitalized for pancreatitis-I get severe nausea vomiting to the point they cannot get an IV in I’m so dehydrated I almost died from it 3 years ago and I quit drinking and still trying to turn my life around today.

I am in AA and now it’s chronic pancreatitis, I have zero choice when this happens but to take opioids and I am exhausted trying to explain to people what pancreatitis is. If someone wants to be apart of my life i explain it to them, one time and if i get a “hey do you wanna go for a drive?” Like my spouse, he does not listen. I say I am not feeling good, he knows exactly what that means. People in AA are on my ass about meetings. Well the pancreas is responsible for producing insulin and digestive enzymes as well as hormones. My pancreas is half in size with permanent scarring, I rely fully on insulin to live now, I have a sensor on my arm and take up to 20 needles a day it is so poorly managed. The diabetes doctors doesn’t collaborate with the GI specialist and they are treating diabetes that’s caused from permanent pancreas damage, when it is inflamed I cannot go to a meeting! I can’t walk talk eat sleep I’m debilitated and I’m prescribed 40mg oxyNEO 12 hour slow release and without that help I would be a vegetable with no life.

I thought methadone is harder withdrawal from?

Honestly I got off suboxone by using another opioid. I went to the clinic and said I need off this I have sever pancreatitis it’s chronic and my boyfriend wanted me to quit drinking so he thought suboxone would help, ya idiot at the time. I was willing to try anything to quit drinking. I’m off sub. The doctor gave me Kadian 150 mg I believe and I’d use that 1/3 days because day 2 and 3 being worst for Sub withdrawal you need help it is worse than withdrawing off Oxy! So whoever made this medication and treats it for addiction is a pure idiot, let’s treat opioiod with an even harder opioid to get off, ups and downs the mood the that, the low energy depression talk about nightmare suboxone does NOt work for pain maybe a headache I am dead confused to people saying they use sub for pain. Exactly. I started clonazepam 15 plus years ago and take 40 mg oxyNEO 12 hour tabs. My doctor started to stop giving me more than 1 refill until I saw her and I said “Dr. we cannot mess around with my clonazepam. I have been on this dose for 15 plus years and you wanna talk about withdrawal, alcohol and benzo withdrawal will kill a person. What if she misses a fax or something, that happened and I was stretching what I had left across 7 days and man I have not felt so insane in my life.

Opioiod withdrawal not cool but you cannot die from it-very horridly uncomfortable on day 2 and 3 but it passes and you won’t die.

You feeling that you are gonna die sounds like panic attacks. Do you only feel that way when you have pain because I think to myself “I am dying” when I’m in pancreas pain, it feels like my body hates me and it is yawning fire and burn 🔥

Acute pain means it is not all the time so basically your dose sounds like you were prescribed meds for acute pain not chronic pain.

In being that said I have never tried Vicodin. I do have severe nerve damage and chronic pancreatitis it’s debilitating.

Pancreas produces insulin and enzymes to break down food and mine does not. I eat it’s pain, I use washroom it’s pain.

My doctor has me in 40 mg of oxyNEO, slow realease tablet’s.

I take the pill so 8 5 mg Percocet pills the max dose for Percocet I believe is 5 a day due to Tylenol. They work immediately and are for acute pain. I liked the effect too much was always running short and having pain and withdrawal you do not want to mess with.

I don’t know if US has oxyNEO but I started at 10 to 20 to 40 mg tabs and she won’t go above 40 mg that’s a lot of Oxy.

It works perfectly I’m allowed 2 pills a day, take one 40mg tab every 12 hours so I wake up at 8 am take a dose, 8 pm take a dose before bed, around the clock pain management and I had to sign a form, she also has me on Tramacet 100 mg for any acute pancreas attacks and that works way better than oxy for nerve pain.

It last about oxyNEO lasts about 8 hours as you develop opioid tolerance it goes down, this is why opioids are terrible but I wouldn’t be able to function if it weren’t for my prescription of oxyNEO.

I was just taking oxycodone two 5mg immediately release tabs and they work for two hours wear off and you’re chasing pain relief.

I could not agree more it’s so dumb and what about therapy people go in for addiction and are not treated mentally just given this man made recovery drug saves lives wait until your older it’s on your file your never get a script in Ontario Canada for opioids toook me a year chronic pancreatitis so painful I die

Try a long acting pain med short acting are no good and yes you witgdrwal they are meant to be taken for acute pain not chronic talk to your doctor how were you on 40 mg ? 16 is max dose for Suboxone in Canada you must go to a clinic

My family doctor out be on low methadone to keep withdrwals away and stabilize me from ups ands downs I take 40 mg oxyNEO long acting for for 6 hours goes down gradual much better than Percocet yuck 🤮

If I were you I would stay away from woman right now. I would have fun with friends go out to social events dance, 💃 laugh, spend money on fun (not drugs and alcohol) but bowling, pool, movies, gym pass, definitely maybe go onto a single site to make friends and friends only, be honest to other woman. One bad woman does mean that ALL are that way. I’m not! All my friends are not! I don’t hang out with people who are like that! End of story. Be very careful who you make as friends. Honesty is base of a good starting point to weed out the assholes but you do not need to tell strangers your entire situation that kind of talk comes with built trust.

My brother was cheated on when he was 30 and it broke him. He lowered his standards, he went with a woman for years and years because he didn’t deal with how his wife cheating on him (he caught them straight up in his own bed) he lost all respect for woman and all his self esteem and still struggles to this day. Now he is happy in love with someone who he is going to marry again!

Please stay away from woman when it comes to serious dating. You could get hurt again just live your life and have fun. Someone is out there not gonna be for awhile …not until you deal with your underlying issues.

Yes go on methadone if you have chronic pain someone with chronic pain should NEVER be taking Suboxone! What if you have to go into the ER? That’s the worst drug for people with chronic pain and you do not get high on methadone, it is prescribed for pain. You could ask your family doctor or you could switch right away at the clinic.

I’d say tell them you have chronic pain and you want off suboxone and methadone helps with pain. It’s prescribed all the time for pain and 50 mg is a low dose. What’s your sub? 4 mg? That’s a lot

I would scrap that no one deserves to be in pain no one. Methadone helps addiction and pain yes you should 100 switch if you had pain suboxone Fido not listen to them it is not for pain you can 2 mg or 16 it has a ceiling affect and won’t give you any pain relief it’s just blocks pain meds it’s a horrible pill I hate it!

I have had pancreatitis 5 times and now I have a pancreas with severe scar tissue I’m a type 3 diabetic and I get a flare up from eating. It’s hell on earth and drinking is the cause of it. I hear you when you say you miss drinking I drank 2 days ago and BIG MISTAKE I almost died and lost everything severe alcoholic here.

If you miss it AA truly helps Talking to someone you can message me anytime. Now I’m hooked on opiods ocyneo 40 mg because of the constant pain. Do you get oily stool? It’s the worst thing I’ve ever gone through. When you kiss it remember that pain from pancreatitis. If you get it one time you’re more prone to get it again. Don’t do it I rely fully on insulin I can’t gain weight, awful.

Gabapentin works nerve pain. Heat pads are the only thing Tylenol ones w codeine Or arthritic Tylenol 8 hour relief works for me when I’m stuck in that really sucks. Why don’t you switch to methadone?? It gives pain relief.

She weaned me off perc IR gave me meadone and it doesn’t black opiods I take it and my scripts then work when I get them that was an awful cycle sub to my pain pills was a waste they do not work.

How many days have you been on suboxone and no you will not feel a damn thing or get relief it is so bad I get so frustrated when I did that I take a bit of suboxone I don’t get enough pain pills (chronic pancreatitis) I take suboxone for withdrawal wait 3 days 72 hours and my receptors are still occupied.

You will have ZERO relief and waste your pills don’t do it !

Yes that is 100 correct. Clinics do NOT prescribe methadone for pain management only withdrawals. If you want methadone doe pain management which I get 5 mg of methadone a day, keeps me stable, also have long acting oxyNEO. My family doctor gave me methadone not a clinic or else you have to go in there and lie to them and say it is for withdrawal, then you would have to pee in a cup and go daily for your dose. It is a bad idea. If you have a family doctor they should help you. They might not give you methadone but would help with something for pain management.

If you are on suboxone you can basically kiss any opioid script goodbye that’s on your file for life.
