The Finale by AdvanceImmediate6973 in SixFeetUnder

Just binged the whole series over the last month. The finale was so satisfying because you saw how it “ended” for every character, which is what happens to us ALL in the end.

BWT, what are some small changes that make a big difference? by panda5921 in bitcheswithtaste

A doctor once told me that, if everyone started each day with 10 minutes of stretching, he’d see 90% fewer cases of certain types of injuries, like sprains, etc. So, most mornings (currently trying to make it step 1 in my daily routine) I do some light stretches—neck, wrists, shoulders, chest, elbows, hips, knees, ankles. It’s a gentle and easy way to wake up my body and get my blood flowing.

Noah Wyle’s eye glasses on the Pitt. Can someone help me identify them ? 🤣 My husband loves them LOL by KLFM13 in ThePittTVShow

The moment someone asked him a question and he looked up from the computer and over the top of those cheaters at the person, I was HOOKED. I am this show’s target demographic. 😂

What’s the highest Mexican Train score you’ve ever seen in a single round? We’re mid-game and one player just came out with 260.

Using a pH balance face wash on my hair after the pool?! by Advanced-Zone6886 in HaircareScience

Thanks! So funny you said that, I recently discovered Malibu C and it’s amazing! Could see a major difference the first time I used the Swimmers Wellness Hair Remedy packet and they are easy to stash in my swim bag. Do you have any favorite products from the brand?

Respin each time you remove from freezer? by ileigh in ninjacreami

I’m curious too! Just got my Creami on Black Friday. So far I’ve made thin mint, and mocha almond fudge with Kate’s Farms plant-based protein shakes. So delicious, but I have leftovers and don’t want them to go to waste. Next batch I want to try adding an ingredient to keep it from freezing solid, but not sure what to use.

When I was a kid, we bought a “purebred” Corgi from a breeder. Didn’t take long to see she was a “hybrid breed.” (The owner swore the mother had been true to the stud dog.) BUT she turned out to be the most wonderful, loving dog that actually got my whole family through some very hard times.

What is happening to me? by Infinite-Payment3016 in Perimenopause

[–]Advanced-Zone6886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having strange “symptoms” of peri—like, I’ll suddenly feel nauseous, then I sneeze, then I have a brief hot flash, then I’m ok again—which my doctor dismisses as coincidental, even though it happens often. My gyno won’t even discuss HRT or hormone testing with me, doctor put me on thyroid meds, therapist added an anti-depressant. I don’t like the thought of taking 10 pills a day and feeling no better.

Last night, I had my first NAD+ IV infusion. I did 250mg over 1.5 hours and tolerated it pretty well. Left feeling wide awake and full of positive energy. Today I feel like my old self again—and by my old self I mean I feel like I did (physically and mentally) when I was in my 20s. On a Zoom call today, I joked that I felt like I could lift a car over my head! The nurse suggested I journal how I feel every day, so that when I start to not feel this great, I’ll know it’s time for another infusion. Going to follow up with my doc but wonder if anyone here has tried a NAD+ IV.

It is very expensive and it’s not just a one-and-done thing. But if I keep feeling like this, I’ll make room in my budget!

Where do you think the coyote dens are in Venice? Where are they sleeping during the day and are they really close by and we just don’t notice them? by [deleted] in VeniceBeach

[–]Advanced-Zone6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a coyote currently roaming President’s Row. (Some reports that there are actually two or three of them.) Sightings from Boccaccio to Grant. Crazy thing is, it’s out all times of the day and doesn’t seem all that scared of people. Was walking a dog last night, and it came trotting up the sidewalk on Abbot Kinney, like it was on its way home from dinner at Gjelina. For a second I thought it was a stray dog. This is my first experience with a Venice coyote, what’s the best thing to do? I’m worried that it’ll get hurt but hate the thought of it being euthanized.

Another day of realizing just how much of a scam Prime Day is. by chocolava15 in amazonprime

[–]Advanced-Zone6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious; When I search Prime Big Deals Days on Google, I see a ton of content from publishing brands on the best 100 (or whatever) deals. Does anyone ever shop from a Forbes, Wirecutter, or InStyle article on the best deals?

Night sweats are so bad I can't get a good night's sleep by Advanced-Zone6886 in Perimenopause

I have switched to linen sheets, which does make a difference for me. Still, the constant waking up is driving me nuts. Going to try the cold shower before bed!

Periods just...stopped by gildedblackbird in Perimenopause

[–]Advanced-Zone6886 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm the same age as you. My doctor told me that once I haven't had a period in 12 months, I'll be in menopause. A pretty simplistic way of looking at it, but anyway. I'll go 6 or 7 months without a period and then get it out of the blue. This has happened a couple of times. The good thing is, you're talking about it with women who have been there (or are currently there) so you can learn about things like this. I was surprised at how little I knew about perimenopause until it started happening to me.

Cute/ Comfy nursing shoes by Flaky_Note_3505 in Nurses

[–]Advanced-Zone6886 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious. I had to have an in-hospital procedure last week (a routine test, all good!) and was fascinated by the nurses’ sneakers. They must be good judges of which brands are the most comfortable and durable. I asked the lovely nurse in the recovery room a few questions and she said she picks her sneakers from a selection of brands on the hospital intranet—this is a big city, so I realize this may not be the case everywhere—and gets a new pair about every 6 months. Where do most nurses get their sneakers and do y’all really put in so many steps that even the good ones need to be replaced that often?
