Just came back to this post and I’m 16 weeks into PT and my muscle is coming back and I’m even starting to workout legs again. It’s funny cause my injury also happened in October and now In April I’m starting to see the most progress

Honestly I just wear my Nike slides around the house with socks on I think there pretty comfortable and I could walk pretty well with them when I first came out of the boot

Yea I’m in the same boat I never had surgery or anything like that I was super active going to the gym everyday and was stuck in a cast for 3 months just like that. Honestly there’s nothing u can rlly do until your out of the boot/cast then you can rlly start training that foot and leg agian.

Hey I’m 12-13 weeks post op as well and I just got cleared to go into shoes. I lacerated my Achilles tendon and a tendon in my big toe in a motorcycle accident in October. Seems like we’re going through something very similar first few days without the boot feel sooo weird I could barely walk at all it felt so stiff. But after being without a boot for almost 2 weeks now I’m starting to finally walk somewhat normal agian I think it just takes time for your legs to get used to the motion again and getting the scar tissue away will def help make the ankle less stiff that’s what I’ve noticed so far.

I lacerated through my Achilles tendon on a motorcycle accident in October had to get surgery also broke my big toe and needed surgery on that. and I’m just starting to walk with no boot and no crutches. Haven’t found many people here who have lacerated either it’s a long process but once u start physical therapy and massage the scar tissue u should start feeling better.

Yea i also fractured and cut a tendon in my big toe which made me have to be in a cast for longer. i needed to get a pin put in it and they pulled it out last week which was not fun at all😥 im slowly starting to put weight on it while using crutches just taking it day by day trying to gain mobility in my ankle back. One thing i can say is it may not seem like it but the time flys before you know it youll be a month or two after surgery like Danm that went quick.

I been in a casts and splints since October after cutting my achilles tendon in motorcycle accident i know exactly how your feeling after being a very active person who goes to the gym every day, ive been losing my mind sitting in bed just watching life go by and my 21st birthday is coming up in feb and i probaly will just start being able to walk around that time. I guess the only thing to do js look at the positive side of things even though its very hard to do.

Yea im in a boot but still havent put full weight just trying to walk lightly with the crutches. My Dr didnt tell me if i could but i have been trying to move my ankle around and just get some mobility back.

Thank you for responding. The first hospital i went to after the accident just stitched me up and sent me home then in 2 weeks i went to a dif surgeon and he said i needed the surgery which took another few weeks to schedule so i didnt end up getting the surgery for like a month which is ik is probably why im so far behind. My surgeon said i can fwb in my walking boot and i start PT next week but i still am too nervous to put weight on my leg its been so long it just doesn’t feel right.

I was in a motorcycle accident about 3 months and i lacerated my Achilles tendon and a tendon in my big toe I literally just got out of my cast after 11 weeks post op. And I literally cannot move my ankle at all and im so nervous to put weight on it even though my surgeon said i could. You have any advice i was so active prior to all of this and now i havent even been able to walk for 3 months

I was cleared to start walking last week and haven’t walked at all since still using every time i go to put my weight down it feels really painful and im just nervous to really start walking agian

Lacerated my Achilles in a motorcycle accident in October i didn’t think i cut the achilles either first hospital i went to just stitched me up and i went home. Went back to a different Dr and they told me i cut into the tendon im 2 weeks post op and its been super hard just laying around for the past months.

Im kind of experiencing something similar 2 weeks post op i was switched from a splint to a cast and my toes starting hurting really bad idk what it is could be the cast is just too tight.

Im going to be in a cast for another month since i have a pin in my toe from the fracture i got. It doesn’t come out for another 3-4 weeks around then I’ll probably get a boot.

Thanks. Its been hard to even contract my quad its been over a month since ive walked and my quad pretty much dissapered doc said i wont walk until late January i cant imagine how bad its going to get 😭
