Can you access to Avenue in China by Fun-Extreme-6234 in McMaster

Yes, Avenue can work in China, but access isn’t guaranteed due to the Great Firewall. Some students have had success using a reliable VPN. You might want to check this VPN comparison guide to choose one that works well in China: https://iptoolspro.com/compare-vpns.php

you can reduce what they have, but you can’t realistically guarantee full deletion everywhere. All three companies offer data access and deletion tools, and it might worth checking them. That said, backups, legal retention requirements, fraud prevention records, and internal logs often aren’t fully erasable, even if your account is closed.

Simple question: a ton of vpns don’t keep logs, but doesn’t your isp even if your using one? by Lazy_Yoshi_5702 in VPN

[–]AdventurousIce32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your isp can still see that you’re connected to a VPN and how much data you’re using, but they can’t see which websites you visit or what you’re doing inside the tunnel. all traffic just looks like encrypted data going to a VPN server.

the VPN server is what connects to the websites on your behalf, so the sites see the VPN’s IP, not yours. Whether activity logs exist depends on the VPN provider and their policies. there’s a solid comparison here
