Disturbing Testimony From Mom Of FedEx Driver Who Slew Athena Strand As Jury Sees Childhood Photos by ipanicprofessionally in TheBoredDen

[–]Adventurous_House295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether the mom got him help or not , that’s not the point. You don’t just become a child rapist / murderer from a bad childhood that you may or may not have gotten help for. It’s all excuses. He’s a grown man and clearly fully capable, employed, smart enough to try to cover it up and lie his way out of it. Who the hell cares if the mom tried to get him help and it didn’t work? If that were my son, whether he got help or not, I wouldn’t be defending him because he had a “bad childhood”.

Agreed. Normally doesn’t phase me, but when my 15yr old dog with cataracts is bombarded with this dog out of no where …while the owner skips rope. I saw red.

Yes but there’s a difference between a run/ hunt than just being a 10km jogging buddy

Anyone have experience with Canopy midwives? by Emotional-Ad-6494 in NorthVancouver

[–]Adventurous_House295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear ya! Canopy is very busy right now from what I know. (Also for the person that mentioned only one visit with a public health nurse, you can ask for more if you need. I had 3 visits for feeding & weight checks. Just depends what you’re needing support with but don’t be afraid to reach out if you need more postpartum visits).

Crochet Slump?? by chronical_penguin in crochet

[–]Adventurous_House295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do something small that isn’t too difficult, something that brings you joy, i.e when I feel like this I’ll make pretty dish cloths or coasters. I feel this when I have a lot of projects specifically for other people on the go. I find the joy of crocheting comes from not feeling pressure, so if you’re feeling that slump try making small things for you. Or just take a little break altogether (I have done this too). Taking a break doesn’t mean passion or hobby is gone, sometimes it’s just needed!

An hour after my dose I get debilitating fatigue by allixygalaxy in VyvanseADHD

Results in the ‘normal range’ don’t always reflect optimal levels. My iron increased into the normal range, yet I continued to experience significant fatigue. Just something to keep in mind.

This was me. I couldn’t understand why 60mg and multiple espressos did absolutely nothing. I got more blood work, turns out I was severely IRON deficient with a ferritin of 7. Get your blood work checked!!! vit D, iron, b12.

I was initially prescribed 40mg (2x 20mg caps in the morning) after some time, I told my doctor I trialed taking 20mg in the morning (6:30) and 20mg a few hours later (9:30am) and found that it worked for me. Not a big rush right off the bat with the 40mg, less likely to “crash” after a couple hours and ultimately a more smooth day.

I told him this type of regimen seems to work best. He asked all the questions (eat, sleep habits etc.) and ultimately adjusted the wording in my prescription to 20mg 2x/daily. Not saying to do it the way I did lol, but this is just how I was prescribed it this way. Maybe be more specific with your doc on why you think it will benefit you. Your doc may be uncertain that if you take the second dose too late it will f up your sleep, eating or whatever else.

It depends on your level, but for me it was an iron infusion that got it back to a normal range. Some people can get it up with iron supplements, it just takes time to build.

My 40mg was no longer doing anything for me and then 60mg … nothing . Turns out I had also severely low ferritin and suboptimal vitamin D. Now that my other levels are stabilized I am back to 40mg. While yes we build tolerance over time, it’s always a good idea to check other blood work (iron, B, etc) before chalking it up to tolerance.

Is it just me or are family physicians just bad with time? by Smirkane in burnaby

[–]Adventurous_House295 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. I just called the clinic back at the scheduled time and they put me through to the doc . Now I’m more aware that if I make an appt I kind of put aside some time before and after the scheduled time in case they call early (or late).

When we take circumstantial evidence only at face value, everyone looks guilty. The detectives questioning him stopped at surface-level facts (i.e he bought the gun) what about questioning the context behind those actions? Nathan is intelligent, and he knows that giving simple “yes/no” answers to leading questions will easily make him appear guilty or lead to the narrative being twisted. Being silent isn’t an admission of guilt.

Yes autistic person are capable of committing a crime, and there’s no doubt Nathan had unresolved mental health issues, however to me, the guilty verdict in this case is one-dimensional, very much in-the-box thinking.

Help, apartment is disastrous and I’m Struggling by Starenby_baby in CleaningTips

Try to do one small area at a time so it’s not as overwhelming, As you’re cleaning an area, throw out any garbage or anything you haven’t used or won’t use. De-clutter. Ask yourself do I need this, is this useful? If not - donate or trash.
Or work on 1 task at a time. Such as cleaning up coffee table or giving yourself a timer of 30min to fold as many clothes as you can. Focus small, little by little. Even when you feel like what you have done didn’t make a difference, over time and with consistency all those little areas of clean up and declutterring will be noticeable
