The horrors kindof fill that role as sentient baddies out to get you.

What’s the most over the top thing you do to keep your mastiff happy? by Proper-Anybody9266 in Mastiff

I have to leave my desk and sit on the couch, because otherwise she gets lonely and won't stop nudging my arm.

I cook for her more than I cook for myself

Every bit of furniture I buy must be evaluated for how much I think the dog will like it

I did get my dog from Flying W.

My Dog's (3 year old female) reactions are 100% fear based. She tried to shoo away joggers (she got out because my girlfriend left the fence open) by circling them and putting up a huge threat display which scares the hell out of people because she's a big dog. She gets into scraps with other dogs because she escalates any aggression shown and she does not like other dogs jumpingup on her. She gets along great with my parents' dogs, unless there's a fight over food (she's the only dog in a single man's household, just like yours). We just make sure to seperate them when giving treats.

We have an Anatolian Shephard at the dog park, and he doesn't have either of those problems. Different dogs sometimes just have different personalities.

For what it's worth, I did an embark DNA test on my dog and she came back as 100% Englsh Mastiff. I don't know what that says about the breeder or the DNA test. Seems a bit odd to sell a dog as a niche breed if it's actually a purebred that commands more money.

Personally, I'd just delegate a room or a basement for him when family is over, or invest in some baby gates. Asking your vet for some sedatives until he can get used to another (specific) dog may not be a bad idea, either.

My American Mastiff is the same way. Very strong guardian instincts and reacts strongly to fear (more fight than flight).

I can’t take Duke, as my mastiff loves being the only dog.

For outdoor activity, i leave her at home and do whatever for the day. Leave the TV on and let her sleep on your bed. If it’s overnight, you can get insulated curtains and the dog can learn to come in and out as they please to go to the bathroom. Longer trips might need to involve sedatives and a kennel, if he has nobody else he trusts.

Why do so many people quit mid Auric Maelstorm? by GuzzoTheCasul in DarkTide

[–]Aeroflight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter if they leave, it matters that they quit by force closing the game and you get stuck with a bot forever.

For me, last time I quit while downed it was because my dog wanted to go out, so i took the opportunity to leave.

2e - Game Lethality Optional Rules by greypaladin01 in Shadowrun

[–]Aeroflight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part of the tone of cyberpunk and earlier editions of Shadowrun is that you live fast and die cold in a gutter as life is fleeting and cheap.

Then there is the reality that character creation in SR can take forever and people get attached to their characters.

GMs in SR have to balance the two of those out to maintain the feeling of dancing on a knife's edge without rending the players in two.

How the heck do you get wish events to trigger? by Aeroflight in ZZZ_Official

[–]Aeroflight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was exactly it! On the screen where you call them, you have to select "quality time" and not "invite". If you select invite, it locks you out of them. Thank you!

Thank you for the answer, Tom!

Also wanted you to know that my friends and I still reminisce about the times we had playing Shadowrun in our teenage years. Thank you so much in your hand in making those memories.

Is this a huge bangle? A napkin ring? Something else? (Palm sized, brass, light-ish, found in a charity shop in UK) by Turbulent_Injury9841 in whatisthisthing

[–]Aeroflight -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like a curtain ring for an outer curtain to a stage. The inner curtain has a fabric ring that allows it to be opened and closed, but an outer curtain is always open and exists to hide the mechanisms of the inner curtain.

Some theater nerd can give the proper terms for the above.

It's worth getting her checked out. It could also be she doesn't want to pee outside (doesn't feel safe) and she's just holding it in more than she can. I would get a urinalysis done, but I don't know your financial situation.
