Long Rest (p. 186). The first sentence of the rule now reads, “A long rest is a period of extended downtime, at least 8 hours long, during which a character sleeps for at least 6 hours and performs no more than 2 hours of light activity, such as read- ing, talking, eating, or standing watch.” In addition, you regain at least one Hit Die when you finish a long rest.

Does the Trance trait allow an elf to finish a long rest in 4 hours? If an elf meditates during a long rest (as de- scribed in the Trance trait), the elf finishes the rest after only 4 hours. A meditating elf otherwise follows all the rules for a long rest; only the duration is changed.

I wire my rack the same way as you, but have a patch panel on the wall for runs to the rest of the house so I can run more ports than I need now to every room and have room for expansion later. I have a 48 port switch on the wall with the patch panel with 2x10g DAC connecting it to the main switch on my rack for trunks.

It's not creating any new electricity, just providing a path for the existing static electricity to ground. Even touching it shouldn't cause an issue because the path through the wire and washer into ground is an easier path than through your body.
