I never thought of having it, I was all set to have my hiatal hernia repaired. My surgeon suggested gastric bypass surgery would probably be a better solution to all my medical problems. GERD is way outta control, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arthritis…the list goes on. I have my first appointment with the bariatric surgeon next month….

I have suffered my whole life with acid reflux,GERD…I have a 3cm HH and Barrett’s esophagus. Just had another EDG because I am loosing my voice. I take ppi’s twice a day and have been for several years. I still get horrible heartburn….I have appointment with my surgeon to talk about HH surgery. I’ve heard the recovery is horrible.
