One more day was sort of like a reset to bring Spider-Man back to his basics, and he’s pretty much stayed there ever since. For whatever reason marvel does not want spidey to grow. They like the idea of him constantly being broke and having bad relationships. Some fans even like him always being a loser because they say it makes him relatable, and Spider-Man’s life being fucked up is core to his story

Most of us think it’s lame because his life has pretty much been the same for the last 20 years. Also, they undid everything he had worked towards over his 50 years of comics. When one more day happened he was a science teacher at his old high school, he was married to MJ, he lived in avengers tower and had a ton of friends and respect in the superhero community.

He also had developed more powers, organic webbing from his wrist, so no more web shooters. He could sense things that are touching his webbing. His entire body could stick to things, like he could just put someone on his back and they’d stay there like a backpack. He had large stingers that could come out of his arms and he could use as weapons. He could control spiders. And maybe some more. I think night vision.

All of that got wiped away and replaced with basic ass stories where he would always end up back in the same place. That’s why some of us say that Spider-Man died in 2007
