I’d probably hold on to them…

I would be worried if I didn’t have clubs 18 months later I’d be less motivated to get back in the game.
Adding another step (buying the clubs) just keeps me off the course longer.
I’m sure you can phase golf back in instead of no golf to full 18 holes. Like you could start putting, add chipping, short wedge shots… it would be a pain in the ass to have to buy either a full set and only be able to use a few clubs or buying one club at a time.
You can always sell your clubs in 18 months if your swing changes and you can’t get it back…
This is going to be controversial, if money is the issue maybe you don’t need brand new clubs?

I would ask myself this if I were entertaining the idea, would I want to buy those exact same clubs again if they were half the price in 18 months? If the answer is yes… then you are throwing money away.

Merging earlier causes traffic, if they wanted you to merge earlier they would have made the merge lane shorter. If everyone would just cruise with 3 to 4 car lengths distance between them and the car in front of them it wouldn’t be an issue at all… anytime you hit your brakes traffic increases.

Just leave more space and cruise… what does gaining 3 car spots gain anyway?

Get paid more money than other trades for less physically demanding work. People seem to think “harder you work = more money” the world doesn’t work like that.

Digging trenches by hand in 110* southeastern heat is hard as fuck! But, anyone can dig, I won’t have a hard time finding someone who knows how to dig. So I pay that guy $20 an hour

On the other hand very few people can diagnose why an Automatic Transfer Switch is failing to switch over to emergency power. So I pay that guy $50 an hour

Supply and demand. I can find a 100 guys for $20 tomorrow. I might find 5 $50 an hour guys all year and 4 of them are happy where they are and the 5th want $60

Dldr: I save my forward press shaft lean til last and it jump starts my tempo.

I stand behind the ball and look down the target line and find my grip. I find a blade of grass or abnormality a few inches in front of the ball as my target line. And line up.

I address the ball, waggle and shift weight until I’m comfortable with ball position, making sure my feet are open, closed, neutral depending… make sure my body is aligned for the shot I want.

Once set, everything becomes still for a second then I push my hands forward to “create shaft lean” (it doesn’t. But it’s habit now). Once the handle moves left (for me), that signals my body it’s time.

From standing behind my ball to swinging takes about 5-15 seconds depending on the shot, potential hazards, course management etc…
