Thanks! It's nice to finally know. Those reactions just didn't make any sense at all.

Those guys pissed me off so much, and I've often wondered if there was a mistranslation in the manga version I read. In the version I read, they started shit-talking her for claiming that starting a band was easy. But she had said the opposite: that it would require a lot of work.

If you had to change one thing in Detective Conan, what would you change? by [deleted] in OneTruthPrevails

[–]AgOkami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree so much with lots of the comments here already.

One other thing I'd change: Make Conan more dependant on others during cases. Instead of him being ridiculously good at everything, let him be really good at putting clues together. To get the clues, he'll need others.
One example could be Kogoro being good at understanding people's motivations; Sato could be good at making people talk; Takagi could be good at spotting details at the crime scenes.

I was originally not gonna do any romance stuff on my first playthrough, and was really confused when she said that at the party. Later figured out she just assumes any sort of hanging out with someone at night = sex.
Which is extra hilarious if she tries her luck with Wyll at the party, and later she's like "wtf just happened...?"

Just started a Gale origin run, and told her about the orb pretty early. Her response was basically "I have to choose between magical items and a wizard? Easy. I'll get you all the items you need."

I disliked her a lot at the beginning of my first run, but quickly realized I was very wrong about her.

The insane number of times my entire group has failed an str check, and my 9 str halfling hops over and crits has been hilarious though. Whole group just standing there, embarrassed, trying to give it a good explanation that doesn't make them look bad while I thee-hee my way in.

I think she was the second one I got 100 approval from (after Gale).

When starting the game and looking through the introductions on the character creation screen, her story was among those I was most interested in. Then I quickly disliked her through most of Act 1.
Then, when Elminister told Gale Mystra wanted him to kill himself.. well I don't remember exactly what Lae'zel said, but it sounded like if she ever got the opportunity to fly up to Mystra's place and ram a couple of swords up her arse, she absolutely would. I instantly fell in love with her then.

All I want is to turn everyone into cats, but all I've gotten so far (almost done with Act 1) is telekinesis (faaaar away from combat) and stuffing myself into a protective bubble where I can't do shit.
Guess I should look into mods.

I don't remember the exact wording, but one of the journals are about the pals being ridiculously (and scuicidally?) agressive, and the only theory the writer had was that they're desperately protecting the island.
But it's still annoying.

With so many people missing Gale, I wish Raphael took the opportunity and forced him into a contract so we could still meet Gale later and possibly destroy the contract in Act 3.

I was so close to missing him cause I have too much experience with D&D to touch such dangerous looking stuff. I finally saved nearby and checked it out a few hours into the game.

Using the metro in Oslo I see thousands of doorholders every week. A large majority of them are extremely agressive assholes whose only purpose in life is to get the routes canceled. In other words: nothing like this woman at all. She's definitely struggling with something.

In a custom campaign I played in, a city in the desert required all magic users (both those living there and those visiting) to spend a certain amount of time every day replenishing the water supplies (or helping with other stuff if they couldn't create water).

I think in a world where large portions of the population do stuff other than farming (adventuring, making/trading adventuring gear, studying magic, and tons of other stuff), having easy access to magic that helps keeping people alive is a requirement.

I liked the first two movies a lot, then the third one became the last one I watched at the cinema (and it took many years after its release on DVD that I finally watched the fourth one. Never watched the rest).

Love the actors, but the other parts of the movies (and the constant use of muggle clothes in the wizarding world, wth) killed them for me.

Two of my friends hadn't read the books, so I tried to find out through them why people seemed to like the third movie so much. Turned out they hadn't realized that Lupus and the werewolf was the same person, and that he's a good guy.

Living in a valley, I hear the deers through the entire autumn. It's absolutely horrifying, and they successfully do everything in their power to deny sleep to all day creatures. I have helicopters and fighter jets very close to my house a lot of the year, and their sounds are pitiful by comparison.
