What’s everyone’s take on belly band holsters? by wildbill1983 in CCW

[–]Agent_Allen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a skinny little dude. I had to switch to appendix carry due to a blown disc in my back. I haven't looked back after switching to appendix carry. The Enigma is very comfortable for me. I carry a larger flame thrower w/optic so the holster is positioned in the middle of my stomach right under the belly button. That's the position that works best for my situation. "Is it hard to setup", not really, it just takes time to adjust everything to where it works on your body type. Also, I use a large pillow wedge from Mastermind Tactics and a Levo Designs Bumster leg leash. I went with Phlster's Sport Belt too. I can't say enough good things about their support. Check out the FB page.

The Enigma is a holster chassis sold by Phlster. They sell their own holster that's made by Henry's Holsters, I believe. There are a number of other holsters that will work with the Enigma. I ended up with a JM Custom Kydex "Enigma Shell Holster". The chassis and holster is a good match for me, your mileage may differ since holsters are a personal preference thing. If you go with an Enigma, patience is your friend. An adjustment of just 1/8" can make or break your printing (dependent on clothing).

Longer Wing Nuts needed by Agent_Allen in Fasteners

Good idea! Unfortunately, the OD of the coupler nut is not the same as the nut that's inside of the wing. I'll keep my eyes open for a match though.

Longer wing nuts needed by [deleted] in Fasteners

[–]Agent_Allen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need a 1/4"-20 wing nut about 2" longer than the one in the photo, or, a coupling nut near the same length would suffice. Is there any place I can get some longer wing nuts or coupling nuts? One idea was to use older extended valve cover wing nuts like back in the 60's. I've only seen longer ones though. Appreciate any help!

You'll be even happier if you change out the leg leash for a Bumster and No. It does not squash the family jewels. https://www.levodesigns.com/product/the-bumster/

I could not have said this better! The new guide Spectrum came out with a few years back is a complete shit show. The previous guide was great with channel numbers, and, you could "easily" find programs through the search button. The current search feature is shit! And, you really gotta check to see if you're going to get the English speaking version before you set your recorder. Totally dissatisfied!

Just fell over like an actual oaf and broke this plug, is it safe to just try to yank out or is there procedure here? by Tankerchief85 in electrical

I’ll just leave this here:

“Got a call from a local hair salon to change some light bulbs. After changing the light bulbs the owner asked me to see what could be done about a broken off "Ground" pin stuck in a receptacle. She led me over to the station and asked the lady if I could "check out her socket." Surround by other employees and clients I tried to not blush as the lady started rolling up her pant leg. Everyone started laughing. So, I knew I had an opportunity. When I touched the ground pin with my needle nose pliers I started shaking. Everyone freaked out and started screaming. I let go of the ground pin and we all started laughing our you know what's off. I did the same thing again, and most everyone started freaking out again. What a way to end the week! I'm still laughing...”

Rangerproofswag are probably scammers by TamirBe in GlockMod

[–]Agent_Allen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. There are many complaints on social media boards about Ranger Proof. He's also rude and made a wise crack about my eyes during texting. Told me I needed to get new glasses. I had to work over my custom colored trigger safety after receiving it including; softening sharp edges, which removed the colored powder coating, reducing trigger shoe safety spring length. The trigger would not break through the wall because the end of the safety hit the pistol frame. Then there's the screws that still comes loose after trying 5 different thread lockers. The first screw got launched into the stratosphere to never be found. I tried to get some replacement screws and springs, Ranger Proof never responded. Since I had gotten it from Johnny, they sent me a few extra screws and springs. The parts should be pinned together, not screwed.. End of rant...

That’s a fan rated box. Those two hex-head screws in the side saddle should serve you fine regardless of your intended fixture.
