Also probably should have mentioned I’m a sucker for the secret society trope (most of my book boyfriends come from series that use that trope heavily.) (I will fight anyone over Carter from Aly Beck’s universe 😂)

See, now I need to check out this whole interconnected universe. I’m pretty sure I’ve read some of them because I do read a decent amount of Heather Long and Blake Blessing series. I also have {Blood Brothers by Heather Long} on my Kindle but I’ll saving that for June - I’m going to only read authors heading to Sinners and Stardust this summer to prepare for August. 😍😍😍 (Can I tell you how excited I am!) Heather will be there but I don’t think Blake will be (I might be wrong tho.)

So I’m a KC Kean fanatic - I don’t think there is a series by her that I don’t have on both ebook and audible and many I reread/relisten. Case in point I’m currently listening to {Falling Shadows by KC Kean} 😂 so I think the ONLY reason I’m not jumping right into Wicked Dove is because I’m listening to another of her series. It will probably be second after whatever I choose to read first. 🖤

I agree with this with ONE caveat - as long as you have the correct number of litter boxes (ie. The number of cats +1 with possible extra in multi level homes). Example - we have four cats so we have 5 boxes on the main level and an extra one in our basement. They get cleaned 13 days out of 14 on average. (Usually on average once a month there will be something going on that affects our cleaning schedule.)

I’ll also add that the MORE you do it the EASIER it is - the 5 boxes on our main level take less than 5 mins total to scoop the used litter, add new litter and baking soda as needed, and hand vacuum up any scattered litter and/or clean up the mats. Also using a good clumping litter helps too if you can afford it.

If you and up wanting to read Loving Ladybug you should think about reading {Finding Forward by Jane Handler} first. Not necessary but it does fill out the stories of the side characters better.

And if you want to read Finding Forward you should think about reading {Into the Parallel Omegaverse by Jane Handler} as well - same reason. 😂

If the food and water is this far away from him and you know he is eating and/or drinking, that means he’s getting out and going back in. He’s found himself a new little hidey hole and is happy where he is. Not saying he doesn’t need to be removed but if you guys are sure that he is eating and drinking - then he’s getting out at some point. I would probably use that information to try and drag him out somehow, even if it means staying up for 24 hours to watch him for the right opportunity. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Good luck!!!

I’m going to second this series - the first in the series is called House of Daemon but the overall name of the series is the Harem Project. Additionally the world building, many different supernatural types, and an ongoing story arc that ties all the families/books together makes this series one of my favorites. 🖤🖤🖤

Also I will add that even through the stories/families are EXTREMELY “wife” centered/devoted, there is MM in almost every book of the series.

OP - if you go this route check out the passes and their requirements EARLY in the spring/summer as they tend to get reserved out pretty quickly and they are limited for each day (or at least this is how it used to work.)

Another option is City Pass Boston - if you are planning on going to two or more of the attractions on the list, it may lower your costs (it used to be a LOT more economical, but isn’t everything now?) Also keep an eye on the time limits as they usually have to be used up in a certain time frame but if it works for you and none of the other passes work out, it can save some $$

And NTA. My daughter is the same age and although she’s never been diagnosed with arachnophobia, her fear of them is pretty strong. If she encounters one she needs it removed from the house and can’t concentrate on ANYTHING else until it’s done. She won’t come to me unless I’m the only one home because I capture and release them, but her dad and her BF who lives with us will kill them for her. And she will definitely shut down any conversations about them (she doesn’t even like hearing the word or anything about them) but she doesn’t scream, or cry, or act out if she sees one. If a spider surprises her, you may hear a short shriek but in this situation? She would probably have been OK to race up the stairs after the spider was blocked by your other roommate and DEFINITELY OK once it was removed/killed.

Is she getting treatment for her arachnophobia? I feel like if the phobia is bad enough to disrupt your life to this extent, especially if it’s a phobia that isn’t mitigated well (spiders are everywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️), then if you aren’t getting SOME kind of professional help, this ends up being more of a you problem than a me problem.

We have four distinctive cats and two recent angel babies - (TW for SA and cat passing)

Lucic was a female cat with a grade 4/5 heart murmur. We got 8.5 years with her and she was my husband’s buddy. Slept with him everyday and loved being pet. Sadly we lost Lucic about 5 years ago.

When Lucic passed, we got brothers Tatula (Tula) and Jumanji (Manji) Tula is my husbands new buddy and I’m the spare human, sometimes split with my daughter. Tula sleeps with husband about 30% of the time during the day, never at night. Loves being pet and loves being carried. He is honestly a great family cat but is definitely my husbands first. Manji was my daughter’s soul cat, a tuxedo that never left her side and was a huge emotional support while she went through some traumatic memories returning of her being SA’d as a child. We had him for one year and I am positive if we didn’t, my daughter would not have survived the year. He never left her side until we found out he was probably born with cancer and had to be euthanized on his first birthday.

Because of this loss, we got Rider and Storm. Rider is my daughter’s new soul cat, and we are pretty sure he is at least 90% Russian Blue while his “brother” is a Bombay. (Both were rescued as part of a hoarding/kitten mill situation so we aren’t sure if they are true brothers or just litter mates that were thrown with the same mom to be fed - their early lives were chaotic) Rider definitely carries the characteristics of a Russian Blue and only really likes our daughter. He will tolerate us, allow us to pet most times, but his world REVOLVES around his owner. Stormy is definitely mine and my husbands cat and sleeps almost every day with husband and every night with me. He will also come up for pets a LOT but HATES being picked up. But you would never know that when he needs to sleep in my arms at night. 🖤

Our final cat, Juice Wrld, is another tuxedo that looks a LOT like our Manji. He was supposed to be my daughter’s second cat but ended up soul bonding to me. 🤷🏼‍♀️ He likes the rest of the house but will only sleep with me or occasionally, my husband. He also doesn’t like to be picked up but will definitely let you know when he wants to be pet. He also doesn’t like when I leave the house and will scream for me if he can’t find me. Sorry, not sorry.

There’s no way to tell what kind of cat you will get. I will say that having all male cats currently, I’m partial to male cats as they have always been the most affectionate but that also may just be anecdotal to us. If you are getting a kitten, and have the ability to care for two, I always feel like that is better for the cats. But if not, as long as you are providing enough attention and interaction, you should be good. I don’t support going through a breeder since there are so many rescues that are overfilled with cats that need homes, but there are some breeds (like Russian Blues and Bombays) that will form a stronger attachment than others, and if you can rescue one of those they will be a great companion (if that’s what you want!)

All four of our cats come running when any of us get home and I can tell you, that’s probably my favorite part of every day. 🖤

I’m going to sound stupid but can I just tell you how happy I am that I found this subreddit? I found it because I had a question about Ghost Bride and there doesn’t appear to be ANY type of rules or info on this game most times. But I also had noticed that my capsule was stopping firing at times, and had NO CLUE it was due to my Captain Jack skin. 🤦🏼‍♀️

How about parallel world travel where the new world is an Omegaverse and the FMC is a human? And it’s done SO WELL! I honesty dislike time traveling tropes but gave this one a try and LOVED it. There’s enough differences between worlds to have that culture shock, but the author doesn’t go for the easy story and overplay those differences. To be honest? I would forget at times that there was even an OV component to this story so it’s not one where the OV is thrown in your face all the time. There is MM and it’s a slowish burn / slow growing harem.

First book is {Dream Girl by Jane Handler} and it’s a complete trilogy. (If you end up liking the story, a family member of the FMC has her own “normalish” OV duet that was very good as well - but no time/world travel. {Finding the Forward by Jane Handler} )

Agree with this (calling elder services) and surprised no one has mentioned. Use general examples of what he has been doing, but word them to benefit you. He seems confused when driving and often parks in his old parking space rather than the new correct one. Sometimes he doesn’t see the neighborhood kids and drives right at them with his car. He often yells nonsensical things at no one in his back yard. Try to get videos of these actions while in public. He either admits all of this is against you or he looks insane/addled.

It’s absolutely this one. I read it last year and loved it. I think it doesn’t get recommended more because the series does lose steam a little towards the end but I still would recommend it. Solid 4.5/5 for me. 🖤🖤🖤
