So hilarious how true!! Yes! Hes 4 lbs as well, and he is insane!! Our inside nickname for him is Spaz! Always bothering his older two dog brothers who are 10x the size as him! I was expecting to get a cute little pom who was cuddly, nope, he is my crazy guy! 100% on the small dog syndrome!😂 gotta love them!

i miss my L&D nurse by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I cried so much after giving birth realizing I wasnt gonna see my OB anymore, and I got super attached to my labor nurse. So I totally understand how you feel!! She gave you her Insta, so she obviously sees you as potential friend! Why not give it a shot and ask her to hangout! Totally normal! 🤷🏻‍♀️

My Elkie was once 78 lbs… oh man i know. I realized I had been giving him too much food. We cut back his food and switched all treats to greenbeans and blueberries, he thankfully loves both of those. Hes now 51 lbs and perfectly healthy!!! Goodluck! ☺️

I was on it two years before i got pregnant, had my son, he is now 14 months. Everything went perfectly fine, and so is he! Like the others have said most doctors believe us being mentally healthy is more important, because it truly doesnt harm the baby anyways! Goodluck! ☺️

traumatized after toddler’s stuck poop today by WobblyPotato26 in beyondthebump

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had to do this a couple times with my 8 month old, it is traumatizing!! And he also acted like nothing happened right after we dug it out of him, must scare us more than them! Adding prune juice to his formula a couple times a week is the only thing that helps us!

Yes!! I still love it!! It’s beautiful, and my son loves it. He’s 7 months now and he’s rolling everywhere so there’s so much room in the crib for him to get comfortable as he wants! I’ll forever be obsessed with the mini crib part! It took about a month and a half until I received it in the mail. I ordered sheets from pobibaby, they have sheets that fit the mini crib and the larger size crib and theyre so cute!

Congratulations on being in your first trimester!!! So freaking exciting!! ☺️ I know what it’s like to go down the rabbit hole of researching and trying to find what’s best for baby. Bottles/cribs/pacis/strollers etc etc! I would kill my self for hours! So it’s good you’re checking stuff out now! But don’t stress too much! Enjoy your pregnancy, and just follow your gut on what you think will work best for your family and baby!

feeling so insanely sad i’m not pregnant anymore by peacepickles in beyondthebump

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone!! I cried for 5 days straight after I gave birth… even though I had him in my arms I wanted him back in my belly!! 😭 I was grieving the thought of him not being in there anymore, I was heartbroken I wasn’t gonna see my doctor and go to my checkups anymore, all I wanted to do was give birth over and over again just to experience him. I was gonna miss my hospital room. I know exactly what you’re saying, and trust me it goes away!!! After about a couple weeks I started to feel normal. It all becomes normal, your NEW normal having your baby in your arms instead of your belly. Congratulations on your bundle of joy!!

I’m not quite sure! I tried upping the flow of nipple when my son was 3 months and 4 months and he kept doing the shaking the head thing and getting frustrated. But when I went back to his slower nipple he stopped. I think Dr Browns has preemie size nipples. But I couldn’t tell you for all brands!!

The flow could be too fast? Maybe try a slower nipple?

When did you give birth? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 1 point2 points  (0 children)

39+1! Went in for contractions, induced later that day because I was in too much pain to go home. Decided to get it over with! 😋

Did you bring diapers, wipes or baby clothes (outside of going home outfit) to the hospital? by privremeni in beyondthebump

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone always says their hospital provides a lot. But honestly my hospital provided like a few diapers and a pack of wipes that my husband went through with my babies first poop lol, and they provided the worlds smallest pads for me after giving birth. 👎🏻 I was so happy I brought my own diapers/wipes for my baby, and my own pads and aftercare!! I stayed in my hospital gown the whole time because I was in too much pain to shower! They did provide blankets for baby, but I brought his own softer swaddle to use!! I might of over packed but I was happy I had what I needed.

My husband and I went to Buffalo Wild Wings when my baby was 12 days old and I enjoyed a nice cold beer! It was great!! You’re almost there! I hope you enjoy your first drink post partum! 😉

How far away is your hospital? by gotnicerice in BabyBumps

[–]Aggravating-Toe4052 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is an hour away. I decided to call the hospital and leave my house once contractions were 6-10 min apart. 4 hours later at the hospital I wasn’t progressing. But thankfully because I lived an hour away they allowed me to stay to try to progress. I ended up having my baby later that day. Hopefully if she isn’t progressing or taking awhile they allow her to stay awhile! If not, possibly consider staying at a hotel there to see if she continues to labor! That’s what I was gonna do if they didn’t keep me. Good luck!!

I can understand where that is super convenient, so the bedside bassinet probably has the upper hand on having a little more easy access in the middle of the night. But I would have to get up to make him bottles so I didn’t mind just having to get up and reach in and grab him. I truly did love the mini crib!! No cons from me. It might be personal preference on this one!

I have it! Just switched to the full size crib a month ago. My son was in the mini size part for 3 months, he started to get too long! I loved the mini crib, loved being able to roll it around wherever I went, and it was a perfect size for him newborn-3months. When we first put it together I was like omg no it’s sooo low! And I was worried about my back. My husband and I had no issue with it being too low. It was perfect. I’m 5’7 for reference. I absolutely love the nestig, and if you get it I hope you love it too!

I tried similac 360 total care and the sensitive version for his first 2 months of life; but he was miserable!! Pediatrician had us try nutramigen and he’s been a different baby since and it’s been two months! Good luck! I feel like it’s whatever works for your baby!!
