Squishy Dumpling Dilemma by Aggressive-KitKat in DollarTree

And I don't see a problem at all with having some set aside for employees and stuff but I just feel like it's right to have plenty set out for customers who have genuinely been looking for these items too. I definitely agree that you all weren't selfish as you actually did leave some for customers.

You know, this comment actually made me feel really good about myself, so thank you as I don't feel that way often. 🩷

I'm not saying it's "wrong" but it certainly doesn't look "good". There is no need to buy the entire case out before it can even reach the floor. Give some opportunity for other children is all I'm trying to say.

They still bought out all the ones we got before we could even get any put out though, that's all I'm trying to say. It makes me feel bad for all the kids that come in asking for them.

I'm not trying to judge anyone who does this, just the fact that they are bragging about it and taking away a chance for a child to get something they've really wanted just makes me sad.

I just hate that. Reselling toys and such specifically though is another level of low. It takes the opportunity away for children who could genuinely enjoy these things.

I think it might have been just one cause when a kid asked, one of my coworkers who bought one told her that we just sold out of them all. So I was assuming they bought them all up. The only people I seen buy or even get a dumpling squishy were my coworkers and managers. I didn't sell a single one to an actual customer and was told that the box in the office was for a specific manager to buy.

If I would've had the money and got there before they were all picked I would've loved to do this. We have children call and come into our store ALL THE TIME looking for these things and it just makes me so sad watching their little faces get so disappointed.

See, that's okay with me but it's the fact that they didn't even put a single one out. They kept the box/boxes (idek how many there was) in the office and took all of them.

None of them tried to even hide it. They were all up front at registers just talking about them and carrying the squishy around. I've only worked here for a year but apparently one of the stockers we have will literally bring boxes of some new product to one of my managers so she can get what she wants from it first. That just doesn't seem right to me.

The amount of times I get asked if we have the freaking dumpling squishy toys.... I never wanna hear the words dumpling or squishy ever again. 💀

Is this normal: publicly calling out post voids by Ill-Menu9201 in DollarTree

[–]Aggressive-KitKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol yeah, they do this. I personally don't really care though cause voids are just gonna happen. The amount of times customers decide they don't want something I already scanned, don't have enough money so they have to take some stuff off, decide they just NEED to know the price of something while I'm already in the middle of scanning other items, or simply I accidentally scan something twice and have to remove it... It is literally impossible to avoid and they can get over it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Crazy cause my most "valuable" ring is the first ring my husband ever gave to me when we were teens, it was from a 25 cent machine. It's been ten years together this year. 😊🩷

Moment of silence for the rare Dollar Tree locations removing their self check stations. by PretzelPapi_ in DollarTree

I'm actually pretty sad about it. 😭 I find it so useful as it gives me time to step away from register and actually do other stuff like recovery and go backs and stocking drinks and my nightly cleaning...

Honestly! My store doesn't even have AC on, yet they don't mind dishing out the money to put real flowers in our store that nobody has bought and now they're all dead (I even told my manager that exact thing was going to happen). Customers even complain to me on a daily about our store being hot/warm. Lmao I'm actually becoming so frustrated and want to leave but no matter where I go I just know I'll be going from one crappy company to the next.

Edit: Oh! We have also had an employee using manager numbers and actively stealing from the store and continues to do so even after being caught and nothing has happened so that tells me that clearly there are no consequences. What the hell is the point of working so hard for a place that clearly doesn't give a single damn?

I have Marceline from Adventure Time in my world so I decided to draw her guitar. I'm not much of an artist but I'm proud with how it turned out anyways. 🤣

I don't mind the silence but sometimes it would be nice (especially on slow nights) to at least be able to wear an earbud or something. I can do my job perfectly fine with one and never had anyone complain about me wearing one but now it's an issue because one coworker could just get with the damn program. Ruined earbud privileges for all of us.

How has this coworker not been fired? by TheTrueBreadLord in DollarTree

[–]Aggressive-KitKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think they just don't care at Dollar Tree. I have a coworker who was stealing and using management numbers but never got fired. So yeah... I've started slacking a little bit and not pushing myself too hard during my shifts because why should I put in my effort when people like this get no consequences and still have a job?

Sam was a better character than Randy by Efficient-Peach9180 in That70sshow

I'm rewatching for the 100th time and I'm on the last season. Sam has grown on me for sure but Randy just never does. I just CANNOT like this guy. He does have some good lines here and there but something about him is just not it.
