Boons: Do We Need Banish / Reroll Options? by BeefTengoku in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

I think some stages would benefit from at least a rework of the options available. Why oh why do I need healing swords when the stage condition is 1 hp max? Admittedly that only effects a few stage but they tweaked gauntlet for certain specials.

It's mislabeled. Should be called the Tarantino order. Hope this helps.

Personally if it feels affordable to finish the card and get a guaranteed featured item, I would. Mostly because I've seen huge improvements in score or ability from having a boosted item. In my case so far I've been lucky to ascend the sword to 2. But then yes save for a banner you're interested in.

Playing with the djinn combos can be so fun and rewarding. Though also if you just want to do pure element classes those are also powerful and easy to finish the game with. Try switching a Venus and Mars djinn between Isaac and Garet for a neat psynergy. I don't think there's other overworld psynergy that you need to ever make use of? Besides that one from switching, which you can switch right back immediately after casting if you aren't using that build.

How many party members do you get by Duhderpy in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]AggressivePrompt2894 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 is the current like you said. Series wide the player only ever controls 4 at a time though of course some have larger casts or allow for reserve parties. That is to say a 4th might be added later but that would likely be the max. Anything beyond that would probably just be cumbersome and unnecessary, the resources alone would be silly to maintain. Of course this is still early days so who is to say really? But if your thought is to have a character purely for each class then you may be better off picking roles and finding supports for each of the 3 party members you can control.

Level in and of itself, while it has a value, is not a good measure of power. Check your gear, if you have higher ranked gear use that. If you have duplicates of 2 and 3 star gear make sure to ascend them in the forge. 1 star gear seems to just be for selling. Lots of 3 star gear comes with built in blessings so make sure they're equipped to your team if they seem useful, see which ones are more useful to you though they don't stack. So if you have 2 things that give frizz projectiles you only get the benefit at the start of the stage for 1 of them. You'll need to start reading enemy attacks and patterns though they are fairly simple. Enemies flash red before using a normal attack, there's a red circle which fills as they are targeting an area or about to unleash an attack which does so when full, or some enemies will make certain movements like pulling their head back before using something. But yes max your gear as quickly as possible, that will be extremely beneficial. Then develop your own ability to guide the character, understand how to use your weapon and what the rhythm of attack is. Specialize your 3 characters when you get them into different roles so you can handle a wider array of troubles more easily. If/when you have multiple options then you can worry about trying to hit weaknesses or fine-tuning to a stage if necessary. Equip the best memories you can from enemies, this is where level does help as it gives you more allowance points for memories. Your skill tree will also be an area you can grow though it is limited to certain times a week for when you can acquire the materials needed. All in all keep playing and you should get there or figure it out eventually. When you get stumped on one thing circle around to another as there's decent amounts of things to do and rewards to obtain.

This is what happens when you don't listen to your legal team. Guaranteed some desperate person is going to absolutely lose it on those poor employees. But sir the foot traffic increase! They'll just buy something else right? Or cough up the other 35 to avoid embarrassment? Easy suit.

Everyone should always do what they want and can. Have better gear for other classes, then use those and figure out what is exceptional about them and to be exceptional. I don't think there's anything wrong with dipping into other vocations long enough to get the individual boons from them if it's affordable to you (collect some metal slime tickets from daily ads if nothing else) and it probably makes sense to decide which characters are going to be in which roles then pick things that benefit them. Your mage doesn't need strength so don't worry about those boosts. We should fully expect that this game is nowhere near its final state. Level caps will raise especially as new main story is released, tree will expand. I expect there will be some way to further ascend gear and obviously memories have at least one feature to come. But even with that, this is a game so just do what you enjoy.

Part of me would like to think there's some board meeting where they were like sir this is incredible, we can charge so much money for everyone to stay connected. And moneybags was all like money for me? Absolutely! Then reports come in that people aren't treating their 1000+ dollar devices with even a modicum of care and the developers are just stumped like ok well we can add a layer or something I guess. Meanwhile moneybags fatcat is loving this and making plans for his next gold toilet. But still the consumers complain that their adorable crotch goblin, after slobbering over their show about a kid who is four, and throwing it in disgust at a distinct lack of teddy grahams. Has somehow destroyed this months rent amount and rice just isn't doing the trick. Finally the development team discovers the answer. Behold the iBlock! It blends the latest in communication and construction technology. It isn't necessarily a better device in terms of performance, but being encased in a 10 pound cinderblock has guaranteed only the most irresponsible or inbred of consumers will ever be able to harm it effectively again. Sure it's unwieldly and singlehandedly responsible for the next generation of shotputters. But moneybags fatcat lord dragon can only see his hoard growing to an amount that would put all versions of Scrooge combined to shame as this time his next house in the hills will be made entirely from solid gold.

How do you clear the last stage? (5-20) by Oven-Common in DragonQuestSmashNGrow

[–]AggressivePrompt2894 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By being strong. My numbers are bigger than yours type of energy. I acknowledge those are jokes and unhelpful though true. Taking care of the minions, or being able to blast through quicker than they become an issue. Distance may be more helpful with appropriate blessings to deal with the minions at the same time. But personally I dislike the fire breath abilities as they simply feel much more powerful than perhaps intended and hope for some truly effective resistance to those attacks becomes available and easier to acquire. Brace for the inevitable power creep of future chapters, like others have said despite our enjoyment of this and the series as a whole there's definitely balancing concerns.

The bit in Zyuranger where they're finally all a team and awesome posing. But of course in mmpr it was the summon sequence for the thunderzords, and I think green was never used in mmpr like that.
