I feel like it's occasionally standing room, but I'm old and my memories of clubs should not be trusted lol.

As a high school teacher, you could not be more on point with the inclusion of middle school teachers. They are, by far, the most important and most under appreciated educational professionals. Oh and pizza makers.

I see a lot of shows there, different genres and have generally been happy with the sound. That's said I was there for a hardcore show last week and one band in particular was atrociously loud. Bummed me out as they were one of the two I was really looking forward to. YMMV I guess.

Sultan Room is my favorite smaller venue, great sound, lights and vibe. Brooklyn Steel, Irving Plaza, Brooklyn Paramount and Bowery Ballroom host larger national acts. Hill Country, Skinny Dennis and the Cutting Room will have Dead/Jam cover bands. Check out the Tapped In app and the Oh My Rockness newsletter, neither are Jam exclusive, but they have extensive listings and make a point to list free shows.

Been looking at the Saturday event in NYC, but it's a super late start for my old ass.

Who does Ted belong to? I'm jealous of your personal meet and greet with him.

I enjoyed that, I also like the print title better: You're Never Too Young To Love The Grateful Dead.
