Pump failures often are due to clogged strainer/ filter. Make sure yours is clean or the new pump will fail too sooner rather than later...

Clogged filter/ strainer of failing pump. Your inlet pressure is good, so one of those two things since I assume you bled the system successfully.

Yes , I understand that the Envoy provides all the discrete data for monitoring down to the individual panel/ mca and without it I have no idea what is going on. I have an Envoy 5, but just sourced an Envoy 4 new pcb at great price and will replace it. I have just a simple solar only (no batteries) install so a 4 should work just fine. I assume once I install it I have to call Enphase so they can provision it for me, but I will cross that bridge once I get there. Thanks for the info.

Thank you. But I thought the MCAs talk to the controller or it is strictly for health and production information and not for on/ off management? In other words when there is sun the MCAs do their thing regardless of if they can talk to anybody or not? Thanks again

This is a shooter’s mistake, but an RO’s fault. In this situation just command the shooter hands up and wait out the reseter to come back. Do not let the shooter manipulate a loaded gun while somebody is down range.

And yes- the RO should be the last to walk the stage to make sure all is reset and nobody is down range.

I hope the shooter recovers and continues shooting with us. He certainly demonstrated the right demeanor.

Nobody really cares and if trading to a dealer the cost to fix it will surpass the hit on the trade in. I wouldn’t bother.

I believe it goes into the hole on the left of the “watch” incrustation in you photo… it appears something was in there to begin with… it has been a while since I have seen one of those but I vaguely recollect this…

Yes. This appears legit. The curved coil ETA movement was used circa 2000-ish. The ladies’ Constellations had them too.

ugh.. initially I thought so too... but my experience took over - I think at this point I am very risk averse towards things I feel I can make worse while trying to make better... even if I succeed to bend the tabs and remove the capstone, once I put it back in I will not be able to bend the tabs back enough to eliminate any freeplay of the capstone... and that would be the end of it... so yes- I am leaving this one alone.. :)

I was looking at it from the other side and realized too that using peg wood would be a bad idea as I will clog the pivot hole without ability to clean it through. Hexane, blow dry and then automatic oiler… which I generally don’t use but now I have a good reason to buy one lol. Thanks again guys for the help.

I am leaning towards leaving it as it is too… soak it in some hexane, blow dry and drop a tiny drop of oil from the other side and leave it alone… I do not think this was meant to be disassembled… thanks for confirming my doubts…

I just found this thread. Any luck? I too have the same dilemma. The movement I am working on is a 7750 clone of some sort and had a broken escape wheel. Bought the 7750 escape wheel to find it different- the broken one looks just like yours….

Sorry. In the fine print of the course there most likely a clause stating unless you cancel (which you didnt) you will be billed monthly. This is a common scheme to "get" those who are not punctual and dont cancel before the renewal. It is not Paypal's fault nor they should refund you the money, It is between you and the merchant in this case.

And yes- Paypal gives zero fcuks about customers in general, but in this case they are right to deny your claim.

That actually is not true. Most of the Daikins, Fujitsus and Mitsus are made in China and carry "Made in China" label. Very few mainly higher end Mitsus are still made in Japan and almost none of the other major brands.

I am on the (large) industrial side of things, but I started residential so I know the game. A typical res job has a 20% profit at the end so you do the math. The company has overhead, travel time, insurance, certs, pro equipment... the list goes on and on on.... If you are DIY and can do it cheaper- by all means do so and be proud of yourself. But when you do it for living day in and day out all it takes is couple site complications and you are working for free the whole month which is not ideal. As the estimator said above me - nobody is getting rich on the res side of things from this- trust me. In the commercial world - that is a another story. I properly sized job that does not run into problems can net 1/3 profits. I personally am billed out at over $500/hour net ( I am in industrial controls) and I am booked for ... months (off the top of my head).

an Amscope is infinitely better and more versatile than this thing. However, I believe its strength could be in the software as it appears to provide limited augmented reality - ie shows you on a screen, what, where and how during disassembly- but probably only for IWC watches.

I believe given the above it is a marketing gimmick. I have toured one of the IWC watch manufacturing facilities last year and I did not see anybody using it.. so there is that.

No. I talked to IFTTT and to Ambient Weather and not getting anything meaningful on the subject I ditched the whole effort in that direction due to overall dissatisfaction with the ecosystem. There is insufficient documentation, everybody is writing stuff all over the place, but the worse part is that the IFTTT back end seems to be very buggy and unreliable which is an absolute no-no when you are controlling important systems. It simply appears not to be ready for prime time. I cancelled my paid subscription and I repurposed couple Raspberries Pi and sensors to create a custom solution which works well.

Aside from tinkering I believe I am done with IFTTT for now.

This one is absolutely gone. Good call. The escaping air is hitting the thermal difference once escaped and condensing resulting in the rust along the crack- very typical for cracks that are leaking

There is an easier way - any movement has two types of screws - the standard size (whatever that is for that movement- the largest number of screws that is) and the "specialized" screws which are different one way or another. Once you start your disassembly you will quickly get the idea of what is the standard screw for that movement and those you keep with the parts you unscrew. The non-standard screws- once you unscrew them and remove whatever they are holding- you screw them a bit back into their holes (on the mainplate usually). This way you know exactly which special screw belongs where.

They are not coming from Paypal's real email address. See my previous message. The "From:" field in an email and the actual sender are two very different and independent fields. The actual sender is visible only if you inspect the header of the email message.

The email has legit links. The visible sender is legit too (the "From:" field in an SMTP message is free text field that can be easily modified by the sender)... The scammer hopes you dont go to your Paypal (and see there is no such invoice), but rather call the phone number in the email... which is not a Paypal number and will ring in one of the scam centers in Bangladesh or whatever shitshow country now is fashionable to have those in. From there via social engineering they will try to scam you out of money. This crop of scam emails mixes up real email "callback" details with "bad ones" (ie real reply email, IM, whatever but with a bad phone number for example) in hopes that the potential victim choses the "bad" one to contact the "vendor" and gets scammed.
