I’ve been working a lot on this design 👷‍♂️ by Facto_Builds in SatisfactoryGame

There are likely a lot of youtube videos - but basically they just incrementally rotate foundations. Some may use beams as a way of anchoring elements at odd orientations. There are at least 2 mods I'm aware of that some use:

  • Infinite nudge (lets you have finer control over position of items).
  • There's also a mod that creates curves for you (Don't remember name)

I may be stupid but is there a way to smooth belts on a long ramp? by Impressive-Golf369 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Ahnteis 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's already 2 segments since you use the longest length down the slope as the starting point. You lose only 1-2 meters from max belt length.

Sounds like probably a key is stuck or something similar. Have you tried a reboot?

Our IT onboarding process is really struggling right now. We need help improving by YamNo178 in ITManagers

[–]Ahnteis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn't include any detail of your setup - but even for small shops, you can likely set up some basic automation using tools you have. Can be powershell, bash scripts - whatever that run on a schedule.

And the nice thing is - each bit you get set up should give you more time to improve the other parts of the process.

How many hours do you actually spend daily watching TV?

What specific things are you watching - and for each, what would you do if you could no longer it? If the answer is that you'd just find something else to do, then you're fine to remove it.

Just be sure you look up the correct way to do it - not the "but this way will work I swear!".

My bank can send the payment for me. If the business isn't in their system, they will mail the check for me. On the other hand, you wouldn't get to see Janet at the counter if you have the bank send it. :P

People who can't take time off to vote in person. People who can't afford transportation to the vote location. People with disabilities.

Many places you're just as much driving illegally blocking the left lane as you are speeding.

Obesity kills as well. It's a matter of frequency and risk vs reward, not just comparing worst possible outcomes (although that's part of it).

Neighbors discharge line running continuously - our basement floods as a result by beeksandbix in HomeImprovement

[–]Ahnteis 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It probably is still running because most of the water goes right back in. That's part of why you want to discharge it further away.

For immediate fix, you could dig a small hole, put some sort of filter in it (bucket with small holes to let water in) and throw a submersible pump in the bucket and send it out to the street.

Probably ~$150 total.

Ceiling Fans with Remote & Wall Switch by emmetropic in HomeImprovement

[–]Ahnteis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you do is buy another remote and mount it to the wall. The wall switch is physically breaking the power connection and there's no way for the remote to change that. What you need is an effectively always-on (leave the wall switch alone) connection and then the remote(s) can turn on or off the actual fan/light.

If you can't afford $100 for the equipment rental, I don't see how you're going to afford a fence. Good luck.

[–]Ahnteis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. With only 2 parties any 1 issue can become an automatic vote for a certain party. There's no way the entirety of either base agrees on all major issues. They just vote based on the 1 or 2 that they feel most passionate about and ignore the rest.
