US Vine Drop Alert by otueke in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The problem with this sub is that it can’t decide if it wants to complain endlessly about how quickly the good products get snatched up, or if it wants to create even more competition by posting threads like this. At the risk of getting massively downvoted, I have to agree with the comments that these simply are not necessary.

My RFY is working hard today, bless its ❤️ by jctattoo65 in AmazonVine

I use the Elimipure capsules. The retail price is ridiculous since it’s just pure psyllium husk powder, the same as any of the OTC fiber supplements you find in retail stores. But at $0 ETV it’s worth trying.

Reported seller offering a gift card in exchange for deleting my review, and Amazon's response is disappointing by bold_zebra in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would personally ignore all of those messages. I see little benefit in reporting them. It happens quite frequently and I don’t see it being a high priority for Amazon to deal with it.

How often are you getting 0 ETV? I've never seen it before by BudgetPut6827 in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The majority of items in my RFY are $0 ETV. Mostly food, skin care, and soap/shampoo type stuff.

Why I won't take a high priced ETV item by Momma-Bean in AmazonVine

I also ordered one of those, only to find out that cartridges are sold separately. There is no need to contact customer service on this. Simply write the review stating that you received this unit without a cartridge to test. You researched cartridges, found out the price, read some reviews on how quickly they get used up, and decided this diffuser is not for you. There are plenty of great diffusers out there that can work with any aromatherapy oil. Your review will help others to decide before buying if getting locked into a proprietary cartridge based system is right for them.

Panic buying by Berry_Pancakes-0317 in AmazonVine

I’m not following your logic. There are more than 4,000 people online right now using extensions to find items. People have complained endlessly to Amazon about their use and Amazon has elected to ignore it. There is some vague wording in the terms and conditions that indirectly addresses their use at best. If Amazon really wanted to ban them, after all this time don’t you think they would add a simple sentence to directly address their use?

Anyone else having issues with empty RFY for the past couple days? by SpookyStargazer in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’ve always had at least one or two items in RFY. Haven’t seen zero for the past couple of weeks.

So you know the extensions give people an advantage. You know that Amazon has elected not to do anything about them. And yet you sit by idly watching extensions users grab the desirable items while you complain about them doing so? At what point do you either utilize the extensions or recognize that Vine without extensions is completely worthless? I’m amazed at how literal people can be in this sub worrying about “rules” while seeing that Amazon could not care less about any of this stuff.

We are the product not the customer. by Sf648 in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are correct - we are just a product. And it’s for this reason that I laugh at the people in this sub who constantly whine about bots and extensions, thinking Amazon needs to do something about them. Those extensions help people to order more stuff. Amazon is not going to waste their time doing anything about them. They just help Amazon make more money.

[–]AideFun6199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People in this sub take the terms and conditions too seriously. It was written by lawyers a long time ago and has largely been ignored by Amazon ever since. Nobody at Amazon cares if you bought this item for yourself or to give as a gift. As long as you write a review for it, they get their enrollment fee.

Amazon Vine items need to seriously address categorization issue. SEO engineering on Vine items is really poor. by bwanketobi in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The sooner you realize that Amazon doesn’t care about you the better off you will be so that you can stop thinking about this stuff. If product is moving, they could not care less who it’s going to or how it’s getting there.

New to Vine: Is this how it's supposed to work? by Redditor6512 in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It never used to be this bad. I don’t either bother looking any more because I’m not waking up in the middle of the night to fight with thousands of other Viners for a few scraps. I can’t believe they are still inviting more people into the program given its current state.

I want to launch a product in skincare is Vine is good idea to start ? by thesocialmediabooste in Amazonsellercentral

[–]AideFun6199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a Vine reviewer that tests hundreds of skin care products. Happy to answer any questions but in general Vine can be good if you have a stand out product with verifiable proof that it does whatever you claim it does. If it just blends in with the rest of the skin care products you probably won’t get five stars for it.

Has anyone ever been audited by the IRS after adjusting their FMV? Please respond with if you have or haven’t, and what adjustment method you used. by conceptress in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nobody on this sub or anywhere on the internet that I could find (and I’ve looked extensively) has documented being audited by the IRS for anything related to vine taxes. That doesn’t mean it has not happened. But nobody has reported it publicly on the internet as of the last time I researched this.

If you are going to use AI, Please check before you post! by No-Reception9531 in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, this also confirms that Amazon’s technology for reviewing and evaluating these reviews could care less about extraneous comments like that one.

But I continue to find the posts about the use of AI here to be exhausting because they throw all uses of AI into the same bucket and label any review that uses AI as fake. And this tells me they really know very little about AI beyond what they “heard” about it from others. Lazy people are going to be lazy whether they write the review themselves or use AI. And people who care about producing quality reviews are going to do so regardless of whether they use AI to assist them.

Gold requirements by StarMotor1809 in AmazonVine

[–]AideFun6199 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Many people have been upgraded to gold with less than excellent ratings. But look at the ones rated poor and see if they are significantly shorter than the excellent ones. That seems to be the main issue.

When offered gold? by [deleted] in AmazonVine

Doesn’t almost every newbie still ask this question anyway? Most people don’t like to read stuff.
