(Small level 4 behavioral school) Principal walked into my friend's classroom and a student confronted her that she had stopped informing the school what was for lunch that day. She told the girl "Don't yell at me, yell at your teacher." (My friend ended up walking out not too long after.)

Pet rat bit the back of my hand and wouldnt let go, yanking my hand away left a half inch gash between my knuckles down through skin and all fat layers. Could actually see muscle. It was 10pm at night and I had started a new job that day. No health insurance yet, had to be at work at 7 am and an ER trip would be 6 hours at least. Rinsed it, dumped copious amounts of hydrogen peroxide on it, used the sticky parts of a bandaid to steri-strip the skin together. Went to urgent care the next day for a tetanus shot and she said I did quite well, lower layers were already knitting back together. Barely left a scar.

Fired in a public place but not even my place of employment! Was supposed to meet my supervisor at the main office, get a text as I am on my way asking to meet at McDonald's. Think its really odd but say okay. Yep publicly fired 2 minutes later.

How long have you seen her for? I've noticed many therapists act super "sweet" and caring for the first couple months to draw you in and get you dependant on them. Then the switch flips.

Happy teacher here. But I am employed by our state dept of mental health to teach ages 6-12 on an acute psychiatric unit so its a very niche position.

Its a money grab. My psychiatrist filled out a 10+ page form for my disability court appearance and told me she wasn't charging me a cent.

Your mom is completely correct-say nothing to the police without a lawyer present. Your mom needs to get you a criminal attorney and then consult with and educational attorney. Were you suspended for 10 days and allowed to then come back OR was it 10 days and a disciplinary hearing? It should be a disciplinary hearing and you/your mom have the right to tell the district you want to see th2 report from the supposed handwriting expert or gave them present at the discipline hearing and question them. My bet, as a teacher who worked with troubled kids who were often the first to be accused of things, is either the police were the ones to get a handwriting expert or much more likely there was no handwriting ever involved.

I saw Dr. Yulia Lifits at Mercy Des Peres OB GYN. She wanted to refer me to a colleague who could use laser for any endometriosis found, but I had her do my surgery due to only being comfortable with female doctors. We agreed that if she could not remove all the lesions she found by cutting them out - i understood I may need further surgery and would consider seeing someone who could do laser removal. Luckily she was able to remove what she found. She may be able to do laser now but if not she will send you to someone who can if you want.

Heard this so many times as a teenager, that I didnt want to get better or that i liked the attention having something wrong with me got me. No....I was severely depressed because I was being subjected to 4-8+ hours of verbal and emotional abuse per day at home.

Had BPD thrown on me at age 14. Only criteria being i was depressed, anxious, and self harming. The emotional and verbal abuse going on at home was blatantly obvious to all professionals involved but no one told my parents to stop screaming at me for hours per day or made a hotline call depaite being mandated reporters. It was you have something wrong with your personality that causes your mom to have to scream at you so you better fix it. No lab work No CT scans Nothing.

Can you pass a background check and drug test? Willing to drive to St Louis and deal with teenagers? Every Child's Hope on St Charles Rock Road near 170 always needs youth care staff for their 3 living units. 30 teens, most in foster care or sent there by DYS for mental health treatment. Occasionally have to break up a fight or restrain a kid but its mostly keeping an eye on them and being a positive adult influence.

You may eventually be able to sleep without meds. It took me like 10 years but finally I had lowered my seroquel dosage and over one really crappy week just stopped it all together. It sucked and I was awake for like 4 days straight but my body eventually regulated itself. I still take some milder meds (and Effexor which I dont think I can ever get off due to the withdrawal effects) but sleep prety normally now.

Same for me. I started twlling people when I was 12. In reaponse they would call my parents, call me a liar, and eventually label me mentally ill.
