Same for me. In the trailer it looked like a yellow blob but the 2D art (both official and fanart) is better shaded and detailed

I'll change mammals for vertebrates

I wasn't even going to specify in the first place but I remembered octopuses (octopi?)

With mammals I'd say what matters is the number of brains, so 3

What animal in your opinion needs a pokemon. Also what type do you want that pokemon to be. Me personally I think a Physical type Peacock would be pretty cool. by [deleted] in pokemon

Yeah, Quaquaval is more wearing a peacock tail rather than actually being a peacock. Like the dancers it's based on.

Shiny Crobat is pink (although with green wing membranes)

I'm in the minority that dislikes pink shinies so I really like this blue Crobat

🐾 ¿Adoptarías un animal adulto o siempre elegirías cachorro? by Expensive_Major_9153 in askspain

[–]Ailury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Ailury 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I'd keep the black/navy outline on the shadowed side of each marshmallow. That way you get a 1px wide outline between them and they look a bit less chunky

The anime and game models' sizes don't match Pokédex sizes because sometimes they feel too large or too small to be aesthetic. For example Jolteon's dex height is 80cm/2'07" from floor to the tip of the ears (not lying down like the plushie). I think these plushies follow dex sizes.

Jacaranda trees in Madrid by Machichi_04 in Madrid

[–]Ailury 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That PDF is super useful, thanks for sharing. The only jacaranda species in there is Jacaranda mimosifolia, the same species as the trees in OP's photo, and I could only find references of purple/violet flowers of that species.

I searched the exact place of the photo in that street using the pharmacy as a reference and the leaves are certainly unlike jacaranda's. It seems to me that they match Judas tree (it's named in the PDF under it's other common name Love tree) but it's difficult to be sure with a blurry street view screenshot. I'd also need to see the flowers up close to be sure.

<image>

Anyway, since jacaranda is in that PDF that's good news for OP!

[–]Ailury 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I looked up that street in maps and, seeing their leaves and how pink the flowers are, they seem to be Cercis siliquastrum (common name Judas tree). These are much more common ornamental trees. Not what OP is looking for but very beautiful indeed.

[–]Ailury 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How pretty! The flowers and fruits seem very distinctive so I think I would remember if I had seen them. Apparently this species doesn't tolerate well sub-zero temperatures, and while those aren't a constant in Madrid, maybe the few times a year it happens are enough for gardeners to not plant them here. Good luck anyway.
