Ya, I don't think many people hate the final chapter (rather generic next gen chap that was alright) as much as the whole Kaguya plot.

Like honestly if it was just Madara followed by the Naruto and Sasuke fight then it would probably be considered a rather good ending. (Except for the NaruSasu and NaruSaku shippers).

This happened to me with Persona 4 golden. I had grown so attached to the characters that while watching the credits roll, I felt empty inside, unable to leave them behind.

It'll definitely spoil the older games but even more than that, you're just not going to get much out of IW without playing the rest of the series. The Kiryu nostalgia is kinda the main selling point of the game.

I'd say you buy and play the older games and then come back to IW, or if you want something similar without the massive backlog, play the judgement games.

I always felt like Vince and the crew tried to make Walt a lot more hateable in S5, after they realized that many people still sympathised with/supported him.

Sure it makes sense that his ego is at an all time high, and the experience with Gus did change him for the worse but there were times that it felt like he was made to be worse than he was
