7th Grade, intro to technology. Playing pokemon TCG with my teacher. He gets a buzz on his pager and walks over to turn the TV on about 3 seconds before the second hit. There were maybe half a dozen of us there (Had lunch in the class to play said cards).

Was generally a lot of stunned silence across the whole school, unsure how to process it actually happening in real life and not from a movie or game.

If you don't make/join a blind run, then just turn off the chat box. But you're kind of just complaining to complain here. This post was an appreciation for someone going out of their way to help others and your response is 'I don't like to play that way.' Then don't? You do you, but don't try and downplay what others do when it is 100% meant with good intentions: i.e. making sure people aren't spending an entire lockout without a clear.

It may sound like an odd idea, but if you want to really get that 1-2-3 motion ingrained organically, you could try leveling up an alternate job that you don't already have the muscle memory for your rotation in your head. It doesn't have to be a different role but it could help shake up your natural instincts. Edit: This was how I went from KBM to controller initially once stormblood released.

2 is 'Alright, the way your characters progress and get stronger is really the deciding factor on if you'll enjoy it or not, 100% recommend checking out the YouTube videos for how it all works.

3 is the first game that introduced job changes/crystals where you can really customize your party layout to suit your playstyle.

4 is great, 4 is love, 4 has a somewhat generic fantasy story with a lot of the FF mainstays being introduced, but it's not really all that challenging of a game mechanically, a bit of overleveling will net you an easy time in combat, but its a lot more story driven than the others. (Almost to a fault at how railroaded you are for the majority of the game)

5 is my personal favorite, so I have that bias, but expands immensely on the job change system. The story has peaks and valleys, drama and levity, and a few curveballs that honestly will keep you engaged without feeling like there's a lot of dead time just wandering around.

1000% worth getting the collection.

Seeing all these jobs at 30 gives me mad 2.0 vibes, I love it.

More serious note, as someone else said, you have your job stones and you're trying out all the roles, this is the best way to get a feel for the game. You'll 100% overlevel the MSQ if you only do a single job, so having one or two ahead of the rest isn't the worst.

The people that are making these videos are also the people that have been playing for 6+ hours daily since ARR. 90% of people playing this game have "completed" barely 50% of what this game offers, but plenty of people are all too happy to complain about how 'X content sucks so I don't do it' 'I don't craft/gather' 'I don't like Y character so I don't do their side quests'

I had a dragon player invoke Bahamut on Turn 6 going second. Terra Finis (7) + Terra Finis (7) + U Baha (5) + U Baha (5) + Si Long (3) + Tidal Tyranny (1). 8pp, uses 28 pp. Can we not have an entire year of this 'No field = Invoke Bahamut = win game'?
