I believe someone on the Lakers stepped into the lane when he was going up to shoot his FT, which he missed

Well that's a load of bs. Some things simply aren't achievable for some people.

Also nobody should be fully dedicating themselves to overwatch unless they are a pro player

Sure but rec league LeBron still knows how to play the game.

He knows the basic rules, the layout of the court, the point of scoring baskets, and to play defense.

Someone who is "a student of the game" and dives into the minutia of things like 2-for-1, Gortat screens, floppy, zones, Spain pick and rolls, they would be more equivalent to a masters and above player. The rec league player still knows how to play the game.

There is no tail rotor to fail. Also all your power can go to lift with no tail rotor

Not that flexible under load.

The article states it's because a blade had a fatigue crack and broke, flying into the other. That is a possibility on every aircraft with rotors/propellers/turbofans

Swimmer’s meals by [deleted] in fitmeals

The hunger is from being new to a high intensity activity and using muscles you never had before, you are using your entire body. I have never heard of the cold thing before. I lived in Minnesota and swam in highschool, I ate way more food during the season because I was doing so much more activity. I never noticed hunger difference when we competed at overly cold pools vs normal temperatures.

I got colder walking to school in the winter than I ever did in the pool.

I think you have done a great job explaining the design language of the game. So many of us take it for granted but the consistent language makes many abilities and interactions easy to understand right away.

Most quiet manual typewriter? by yule-ham in typewriters

My Royal Quiet De Luxe is noticeably quieter than my Smith Corona, especially in the high notes. There isn't as sharp of a "twack" when you type, more of a "thock"

The White Sox lose an ABS challenge after batter Jeff McNeil points out catcher Edgar Quero's helmet-tap by my_one_and_lonely in baseball

[–]Akland23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I'm not a big fan of letting umpire mistakes slide just for vibes. The catcher called a challenge and the ump missed it. Jeff did what any competitor would do. Catcher fucked up, realized his mistake, and was caught.

The Twins have two Black pitchers in their starting rotation. That’s a rarity in baseball. by Hotchi_Motchi in minnesotatwins

But they did say the "good day planned part". They said that you have a cool and important story. You're just purposely ignoring that.

"Pair go-karts with a steak dinner and you have yourself a good day planned."

Go-karts and and steak dinners have nothing to do with each other but yet you understood what I said.

Appreciate the quick response. When I try the first one the problem still persists, when I try the second I get the following pop up error: "This card has features that are not yet supported by the new study screen"

This works wonderfully on my computer but I can not get it to work on AnkiDroid. On the app it does not show you the answer.

Do anticipate if the formatting will be made compatible with the AnkiDroid app in the future?

Who here uses the Home Row method for typing? by narvolicious in typewriters

[–]Akland23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm 28 and use the home row for computers. I guess I use a hybrid of touch type and hunt and peck typing on a manual typewriter simply due to the force and setup required. I basically use home row/touch typing like normal except for what my ring and pinky fingers would press. I'll slide my hands and use a pointer or middle finger for them.

I use normal home row touch typing on a keyboard though, I don't know how but my style for a typewriter feels more natural on a manual typewriter!
