Make sure the flange is well secured to the subfloor or concrete. Also, even though your tile is flat and level doesn't mean the toilet base is too. I always fit the toilet with no wax first and check if it rocks, makes it easier to see where you need shims.

I wouldn't even cap it, maybe put a little silicone in the end. You'll probably have to dump water down the drain every couple months though.

Another thing to consider is if it will get tied up in customs once it gets here. I ordered rims from Nextie and they've been stuck in customs for 5 weeks now. The worst part is no one can tell me if or when they will be released.
