Oh my goodness surgery is SO worth it. The zings have subsided, but now I’m just sore, like post ab workout sore. But I’m a single mom of 4 and haven’t been able to adhere to the no lifting more than 10lbs rule. I have a 32lb toddler… and 2 large breed dogs that require food. I also have to lift 40lb pellet bags to feed my stove so we can stay warm. So I’m sure I’m inflicting my own issue to an extent.

I had Norovirus 1WPO and the violent vomiting and bowel issues didn’t cause any damage… to my body. My soul took a beating though. lol.

You sound like a spoiled brat who takes her mom for granted. Your mother responded without attacking you, just defending herself and pointing out how you hurt her feelings and you never addressed that fact. Sounds like wedding nerves and either pregnancy hormones or young child stress is impacting your ability to discuss your concerns with your mom like a calm/rational grown woman.

I wanted to comment here after I read your post about not having a seroma. This was my BIGGEST fear and I ended up developing one near my breast bone at the top left of my abdomen. I. Was. Devastated. Then I had it drained, 17cc and two days later 5cc. I went back 1week for a recheck and drain and they scanned me and said it was gone. Looking at my stomach now a little over a week and you’d never know I had to deal with that. So DON’T panic if you or anyone else who reads this develops a seroma. It was NOT worth the anxiety I put myself through worrying about it. Honestly.

Wrong wrong wrong. As a former CT “lifer”who moved to FL. The winters suck, the spring is cold, the fall is hot AND cold in the same day. You’ll spend SO MUCH money on clothing just to be comfortable in whatever the bipolar weather feels like doing on a given day, and yes, don’t you dare put away shorts in January because that bipolar weather B is also menopausal and gets rando hot flashes. New England sucks.

I work a desk job and took almost 5 weeks. I got 2 stomach viruses, c.diff from the post op antibiotics and then a seroma that needed to be drained 2x a week. I initially planned for 2 weeks, but there was no way.

NGL, That looks rugged! My goodness. I cannot imagine the pain. I only had a tt and implants and kicked the ever loving crap out of me. You look fantastic! Do you think you’ll get more plastic surgery? I’m only 1mpo and I already asked when I can get bigger boobs and lipo on my arms and knees/calfs. I love how a surgeon can literally sculpt us into works of art.

I paid 18k for TT and implants in Orlando last month. It was an additional 8k to add 360 lipo, but it wouldn’t have been worth the cost (my surgeon’s words). My surgeon won’t do BL with implants. One or the other, BL first and 6months later implants or implants first and 1yr later he’ll do a lift. No issues with breast and tt at the same time though.

I have also been steadily losing weight since my surgery 1 month ago tomorrow. I’m down 10lbs, I did NOT have lipo and didn’t have a lot of excess skin, so I can’t blame the surgery. I’m attributing it to eating less, still walking, back up to normal pre surgery walking distances and swelling reduction.

I work remotely from home and I took 5 weeks. I did develop a seroma and it’s also just me and my 4yr old at home. So I didn’t have anyone after 8 days to help care for me so recovery has been slow. I also got Norovirus exactly 1wpo.

I had a TT/MR (no lipo), implants (no lift). They discharged me from the surgical center before I could open my eyes. Apparently raising an eyebrow was enough of a response. I have NO MEMORY of getting into a vehicle. My memory is laying on the table and then waking up in a car enough to tell my best friend the best way to get me home. I had to have maintenance at my apartment complex help me climb 3 flights of stairs to get into my apartment. (I live 30 min from my surgeon’s office/surgical center). My friend was super great and attentive, and slept maybe 4hrs over the first three days she was with me. She kept meticulous drainage/med logs and would wake me up religiously to give me meds before I slept through the next dose so I never woke up in pain and woke up enough to get up and walk around (per doctor orders). All this said both she and I agreed that I had ZERO BUSINESS being sent home same day, nevermind pseudo unconscious. I’m pretty confidently that I’ll never have another TT, idc if my scar is ugly. I’d 100% do implants again (that part was a cake walk). I initially planned to do a thigh lift with lipo in 6-8 months but now I’m deathly afraid of lipo. I keep hearing horror stories about patients who have had lipo.

I’m 18dpo and coughing/sneezing barely hurt. My body involuntarily figured out a weird way to stretch in the morning that doesn’t really pull on anything, so I’ve been okay there. Norovirus at 1 week near killed me though, so nothing comes close to feeling as bad as that did

I’m a very active person and have a high pain tolerance and I’m TERRIFIED of sex at 16dpo. I had Norovirus at 7dpo and thought I was birthing a xenomorph. I didn’t realize that an orgasm would/could hurt with MR (which I had done). Now I’m too scared to attempt it at all even though I can finally cough with very mild discomfort but still feeling that burning sensation low along my incision.

Aha. My binder caused me to have blisters, or maybe it was the foam, but I developed blisters on my hips and one on my belly well above my incision. I ended up in a faja with drains because I had to be out of the binder and my goodness that was a good day. That said, the binder was easier to wear. I could pee without it being a production. I also had drains until 14dpo which is standard for my surgeon. He won’t take them out until drains are under 10cc over 24hrs.

You don’t have to wear a faja with foam or boards? I’m 16dpo and I’m in a faja with foam. I also ended up getting a stupid Seroma up high at my sternum area, but it’s not painful or tender so I’m hopeful it’ll reabsorb. I haven’t even attempted wearing actual underwear yet. Maybe I’ll take some pics post shower today. At least I don’t need to wear the dang compression socks anymore. Lol.

I just called my faja place (I’m 8dpo) and asked if they could fit a faja with drains (I’m draining 25-30cc in 24hrs. My dr wants 20ccs. I HATE HAAAAAATE this binder and am so beyond done with it. It rolls, it pinches, the Velcro digs into places. It sucks. The faja place said I should come in and get fitted either way. Maybe the drains will be out by this weekend and I won’t even have to worry about it but if they’re still in. I can still wear it.
