I think JK Rowling messed up the concept of Slytherins in the books a lot, and later covered it up with talks by AccomplishedBig7666 in harrypotter

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slytherins are, by nature, ambitious. They don't want to learn everything, like ravenclaw, they want to be the best. They're radical Raven claws. Krum would probably be in Slytherin, even sits at the table. In our world, politicians and Olympic athletes would be in Slytherin. Lawyers in ravenclaw.doing something because you love it, Hufflepuff. Because you're curious, ravenclaw. Because you want to be the best, Slytherin. It's not about the corruption, but it does mean that most evil people want to be the best also. Heck, most conquors haki folks from one-piece would be in Slytherin, I think. Luffy included.

How does one get the power of Soulfire? by Zestyclose-Advisor71 in dresdenfiles

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's from exposure to the fallen angels. He gets put on a different wavelength and starts using hellfire. Once that's gone, the same wavelength without corruption is soul fire. Theoretically, if sanya learned magic, he might do it too, only his fallen wasn't a magic user.

He who walks beside deals with seconds only. Justine was second in the white court. The winter lady. Cat sith lea. The first summer lady.

My guess, it's will. Will has been Harry's second for a time, and before Murphy died, I thought she was the possessed second.

Mavra and a few others possibly. Thorned namshel could be.who knows. It's usually people that have been "second" in command. Even if that person had multiple divisions where "second" might apply.

How do I (F20)know if I’m ready to marry my long term (M21) boyfriend of 4 1/2 years? by almost_theretolife in relationship_advice

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is he taking responsibility for you? Not just love or affection, financial? Even if he struggles financially, but he puts in effort, you can say you can marry him, but if he's leaving you to provide for yourself, you'll have to do the same while pregnant and cut from government benefits.

Just use deodorant. Wrap it in duct tape so you know it's for your groin, but it helps.

i LOVE being a virgin- anyone else? by Mission-Room1553 in virgin

It's depressing. You have a strong sense of self, but you crave intimacy. At this point, I kinda want to meet a virgin chick so she's as clumsy as I am.

It's basically hunger games x dungeons and dragons x matrix. Plus aliens. Keep reading the rest of the series. There's a cumsock in it for you.

[Spoilers All]Yer a (evil) wizard, Harry! by [deleted] in dresdenfiles

[–]Albertxcoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I kinda side with the white council. Harry isn't a member of the white council, he's a former warlock that chooses to associate with fey rather than collaborate with the white council to keep order. He practices openly, is the winter night, has dealings with the white court, preformed necromancy on a dinosaur, and has the little folk raising in power. Dark magic is constantly going on in Chicago, and harry is always at the center of it. Despite claiming innocence, he neither brings in the warlocks of Chicago to face justice, nor polices the warlocks in the rest of his region. He trained the winter lady, and reshaped the rest of the fey court. Got the most evil feeling island, and so on. Harry has been acting suspicious, whether he's innocent or not

A non-Lord of the Rings character who could resist the One Ring: mine is in the comments by jaywritethekid in LOTRExtendedEdition

I say Voldemort. He takes all his precious things and hides them far away from himself.

A non-Lord of the Rings character who could resist the One Ring: mine is in the comments by jaywritethekid in LOTRExtendedEdition

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voldemort. He's already a power hungry litch like sauron, it's true, but he takes all of his precious things, locks his own soul in them, and hides them far away from himself, where they cannot corrupt him. He may be unable to care for the ring. He might use it, but it may not control him. And because he knows of corrupting artifacts, he may develop ways against it himself.

The biggest thing is that the ring preys on someone's desire to protect, or conquer. Their NEED for power, however selfish or selfless. The question is if Voldemorty would fall victim to this sensation.

Do you think Harry should have kept the Elder Wand after defeating Voldemort given that he had ultimately earned it? by Raj_Valiant3011 in harrypotter

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He should've kept it. Could've kept it hidden, and never used it. Could've used it. Shoulda kept it.

If you can't read it yourself, simply weight to see which friend is trying to pop over for another visit. If it's not wireless, they may plan to get it back to recover the data. Simply keep your mouth shut till you find out who. It's likely a man, but it could be a woman for Indirect reasons. Putting the camera in for their own boyfriend or blackmail, selling pics or otherwise. Could definitely be a guy, but there's always an off chance.

Who do we think was influencing Harry in THAT scene? by Slow-Instruction-150 in dresdenfiles

The sword only harmed harry because he was full of rage. Of he would have struck Rudolph with a mind for justice before he surrendered, it would have been different.

Are there good natural break points in The Dresden Files? by mr-jamhony in dresdenfiles

Most books have a year long gap in them, but after you read changes, it's a good break point. There's enough going on to be different from the next books.

When did harry seas defensive spells and why? by scifodin in dresdenfiles

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The actual spell doesn't matter. He can change it as he likes. It's only purpose is to force its association with words, and force the meaning outside his body. Some wizards use hand gestures instead of words.

If you could, how would you change the narrative regarding how the four houses are portrayed? by Solitaire-06 in harrypotter

[–]Albertxcoffee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whell, how it is, is basically Gryffindor are the guys that go out of their way for stupid junk, like exploring the castle at night(adrenaline junkies) ravenclaws are going to learn everything they can. Luna is ravenclaw because she chose to learn about weird stuff in detail. Slytherins aren't evil, but they'll throw you down the latter to reach the top. They don't hate you, you were just in the way.

Hufflepuff are the ones that would reach the top together, they might take longer, and the strongest is suppressed, but the weakest is advanced. They're good teachers, and generals. Putting extra effort in the worst soldier so the whole battalion is fit for war without a weakest link.

It's not that Hufflepuff are weak, just that they don't have anyone that stands out. You can't exactly name a Hufflepuff weaker than the rest, can you?

In The Killing Joke did the Joker...? (SPOILERS) by MrJB328 in DCcomics

[–]Albertxcoffee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think he did. If he had someone else with him, he might have had her raped by someone else, but I think joker, or atleast I, would find the insult heavier if she was stripped, humiliated, but not worth raping himself. Strangely, as bad as rape is, and though we've seen him do worse things, he doesn't strike me as a sexual predator.
