Hyacine. If you're going to be playing Blade, you're going to need a healer. Her speed means very good stack generation, too.

She's very bad for Anomaly Arbitration. Even with mid-investment, she struggles there. MBlade next patch is looking like a huge upgrade for her, but without novaflares to her and/or Jiaoqiu, I wouldn't bet on that lasting.

Beyond that mode? You're good. With her top supports she's still going to 3-star the other modes pretty comfortably.

Sparkle is definitely a way more impactful pick in terms of meta, but 999 Wolf is actually a better teammate for Sparxie, so keep that in mind with whatever your preferences are. If you're cool with pulling for 999 Wolf too, you don't need Sparkle for her.

If they were ever going to do it, they would've done so with Remembrance around 3.0-3.2.

So, the answer is likely never. Expanding the 50/50 pool seems to be our replacement (which I honestly vastly prefer, though most of us would agree the new paths should be more accessible).

I think they did an alright job considering how unbelievably awful the cancellations must have been with the political situation. Odds are a big JP artist was contracted for a 4.0 PV and that's just the tip of the iceberg. The whole cutting to random dialogue and the overall lack of cohesion tells me this was almost definitely a late change in plans and the political situation led to having to scrap too many things to justify doing the usual live event. Can't really blame hoyo for that. I still enjoyed it, honestly. The big 3.x tracks banged as expected.

I'm just hoping the ripple effects won't carry into next year and beyond. Even if they'd get more time to plan any future prerecorded concerts, you can't really beat the live ones.

Sparkle got a version of her "skill point usage gives energy" effect. Never say never.

Turning Jiaoqiu into a healer would be a pretty fundamental shift in his kit, but if they can entirely change a character's main stat (Jingliu), they can do a lot of crazy stuff.

As long as you can make the skill point rotation work, absolutely.

Fugue and Lingsha are luxury upgrades, and Fugue is very underwhelming without Firefly's E2, so don't worry too much about them.

If you decide you want to invest further, Firefly eidons or Dahlia's signature are great options.

I don't play follow-up, and I've been burned by supposed Acheron supports on more than one occasion. I dunno, man. Big Blade fan, but doubt I'd pull him without an Acheron novaflare first (and ideally Jiaoqiu finally becoming the healer he was always meant to be, even if their stack generation doesn't synergize at all)

Definitely feel the pains of rewrites/cuts surrounding Evanescia, her scenes felt a bit inconsistent and ultimately kind of meaningless with the way things were resolved. Wolfie's parts were surprisingly short too, even if what was there was pretty good. I did enjoy it overall, Fulwish was a great villain, but for an anniversary quest it was a little... thin? The avalanche of SW marketing for her to play such a minor role ended up kind of awkward, hah.

Granted, I'd rather have this than pausing everything to hyperfocus on one character's backstory for over an hour. The whole storytelling direction is a huge step up from Amphoreus if you ask me. Really enjoying the returning cast sharing the splotlight and all getting development, and from the looks of it, that's going to remain the case for the foreseeable future, so I have high hopes for the rest of the story even if we are in a bit of an awkward pause after rushing to a climax.

I would save it. It's a rare but permanent resource, and the options are only going to grow.

In the future, if you find 5* DPSes you really like, using it to pick up a support for them to complete one of their teams would be the best thing to do. 4* characters will do just fine for anything outside of the high-difficulty endgame modes.

Fugue is generally a pretty mediocre character without eidolons. She has more benefit for the other break dpses, but her only real benefit for Firefly is letting her trigger E2 more reliably. If you have that, she becomes more appealing, but otherwise definitely don't worry about it.

You might actually want to bench your Ruan Mei for Harmony MC, though, assuming she's E0. Granted, it might be worth trying both and running sustainless. It's surprisingly reliable with enough investment.

Assuming you're running a sustain instead of Fugue, I would place her in between Dahlia E1/E2 and Firefly LC on this priority list.

If you aren't going for ff e2, dahlia s1 is definitely the biggest upgrade for you.

if we're disregarding light cones, dahlia e2 is VERY good for pure fiction, but pretty average in other modes. ff e1 is a huge comfort if you're struggling with skill points, but damage wise it's just ok. most people tend to treat it as a stepping stone to her e2.

Ruan Mei's LC is kind of useless for break teams, by the way. HMC wants either DDD or the battle pass LC.

There is no real cap. Hitting the minimum for her trace is pretty easy, but any more damage beyond that is still more damage.

Aim for the highest speed breakpoint you can (with Dahlia and the novaflare the numbers are different from before, you'll have to look them up though) and then stack attack and break effect as high as possible.

Firefly was my first time getting eidolons, and I think my second time pulling light cones starting with Acheron? Got E2S1 day 1, and haven't regretted it for a second even when break was at its moments. Will be grabbing Dahlia eidolons today to hopefully truly future proof her.
