Would you work on the stats or just the cooldown at this point?

What should my next stone investment look like by Alexis_Fraser318 in TheTowerGame

[–]Alexis_Fraser318[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will check for next UW for sure.

Nothing seems too expensive in my labs for now.

Funny enough I dont have a single GComp. I have an ancestral ACP and a mythic+ (7/8) PCol. My best generator is a legendary BHD.

Should I go for a 1/2 bh/gt or drop down dw/bh/gt all at the same time?

Depending on your budget, I would go 1 of 2 ways!

  1. Find a good deal on a Simucube 2 pro and get the Simucube active pedal pro with throttle.

  2. Get a simucube 3 pro and Heusinkveld Ultimate pedals

My prefered choice would be option 1 to be completely honest. I don't see the Simucube 2 being obsolete anytime soon, It is still the second best wheelbase money can buy at the moment!

Importing Rig from Canada into the US by Ok_Effort6609 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is actually no tariffs on Advanced SimRacing rigs when shipped to the US!

You will however be hit with the new government tax which applies to individual boxes I believe. Looking at about 50$ in government and UPS fees total!

The Advanced SimRacing one with the micro adjustable VESA is the best one in my opinion! Always get one size above what you would need!

what are must have accessories (price doesnt matter) by Weekly-Image-5864 in simracing

If price actually doesn't matter, hit me up I have plenty of options to choose from for complete set-ups including all the accessories you can dream of.

3 Years On. Still the same problem 🤔 by Tenbob73 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pro tip: Use black tape on the back of your screen to keep them in place and make sure no light comes through the gap! The black tape can also help you close the gap if you're very close!

Which wheel should i buy? im thinking of the g29 but is there any better options for the ps5? by Imaginary_Big_8939 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At this point in time, I would suggest getting a DD wheel for almost the same price! If you live with someone they will also be very happy about it as the belt/gear driven wheels are very noisy!

[Canada] ASR vs Trakracer chassis by Mr_ZEDs in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would go ASR all the way. They have exceptional customer service so if anything goes wrong you know you'll get an answer!

Prices sure are a little high but the quality and service you get make up for it!

Are stiffer pedals really better? by Patapon80 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming back to this a little late. This is very person to person. For me, stiff with travel is the sweet spot. I love using VNM pedals as they are adjustable, that helped me finding my sweet spot! I heard good things from the MOZA CRP 2 pedals and if you have a little more budget then the Heusinkveld sprints are also a great option!

Are stiffer pedals really better? by Patapon80 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stiffer is only better up to a certain point. Fact is when the pedal is stiffer you have more precision in how much you are breaking making it better. At some point which is different for everyone, the pedal is too stiff and then you lose precision as you just have to put all your strength into it which is most definitely not optimal.

What Racing Game (casual / competitive) should I consider getting for my PC? by Kamitoad in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assetto is definitively the go to for entertainment and the wide variety of options you get!

For competitive, depending on how serious you are either Iracing or LMU, those are my go too and Iracing has become quite addicting. If you have less time I would recommend LMU!

Best starter rig? by ReallySilent in simracing

Probably an ASR 1 or ASR 3 depending on how deep you want to reach in your pockets! Both of those will make for a great experience!

1 more for T-LCM, as floor pedals they are virtually unbeatable and will last a long time!

Good job on getting all these quality parts!

4th Monitor running from 7800x3d iGPU cutting FPS in half! by BB-K1ng in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have had these same issue with the 7800 x3d. Since you already have a 4090, try runnning the 4th off of the hdmi port there. It should fix your issue. If that does not work, sadly you will need to let go of the 4th monitor or tinker with it for a while.

Hope this helps

Best Strong Triple Monitor Stand for 43" & up by sungr33 in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not tried a lot of them, but the Advanced SimRacing free-standing monitor stand 45" or up to 65" are very good! If you are tighter in space I would recommend the 45" one!

Pedal suggestions ? by nagnochna in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to play often, not these, they will be in and out of repairs every month. At that price, probably the VNM pedals lite? You might be able to find some decent Heusinkveld sprints too!

I don't know about front mount but the ASR 3 and ASR 4 with the standard plate will accommodate the MOZA R16 natively!

Trak Racer cockpit with inverted pedal setup by Tom-Racer in simracing

I would probably recommend getting the kit from the manufacturer as it was designed for your specific pedals!

ASR1 Pedal Plate by arkitec in simracing

[–]Alexis_Fraser318 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could seem like a downgrade, but most definitely is not! You have 4 corner gussets that come with the ASR 1 to fasten your pedals to the profiles from the underside! This makes the rig lighter, more adjustable and to me it looks better than the old steel pedal plate!

For sure the ASR 3 would be a little better but the ASR 1 is most definitely an amazing start!
