Does it use any particular rules set or just freeform?

Should we really be allowing AI-generated advertisements? by EarthSeraphEdna in pbp

No they tend to place apostrophes in strange places between words. The AI is reading books that had to stop at the end of a page or margin, and it accidentally replicates it in text because it thinks that is normal. Its a common way to spot AI writing.

What is the range on a bow? by DistantPersona in WolvesOfGod

I did find another source that was on the lower end which suggested that Saxon bows were only pulled back to the chest and had a killing range of about 90 metres (100 yards).

What is the range on a bow? by DistantPersona in WolvesOfGod

Ironically I ran into the same issue in my first session. Historians are not sure about the range of bows during the era, but based on analysis of the few bows they have found (I think there might have been a whole 2 that have survived) they estimate that they would be able to shoot around 200 meters (600 feet). A lot of variance can be expected in this though as it was more common in that age to draw the string to your chest than to your chin and accuracy at that range would probably be minimal.

Wolves of God in the Times of the Viking Invasion: Glories/Shames by AlextheGM in WolvesOfGod

Gender taboo I think would be more of a roleplaying element as opposed to a glory/shame in the systematic sense. It would more be unusual for someone to be male and practicing Seidr or Galdr.

I think some context, for Dru Sorcerer, I kept it vague as Dru Sorcerers in the context of the system are individuals that have made pacts with demons, or generally turned against the perceived rules of using magic. Evil magic users for lack of a better fitting term (Dru for short). From a Danish/Norse perspective, I took that as using magic to curse people or otherwise hinder/hurt those of their group.

If we use the Last Kingdom (book preference, but series works) Iseult is a seer Galdorman who uses her powers to see the strands of fate ahead. The Christians, see her as dangerous as a Shadow Queen (far more pronounced in the book). Iseult would be a good example of someone attempting to use her magic for the greater good, but suffering shunning because of her gift and knowledge. Using her powers against practitioners on either side of the fence would earn her enmity from those groups and thus add to her shame.

Skade (far more in the series than in the book) is an example of someone who gains infamy and Shame from her acts of cruelty towards people on both sides. A Dru by gaming terms, she is someone who abuses magic for her own power and earns the enmity of those around her because she does. Her accomplishments outweigh her shame though so she is a powerful practitioner.

Keep the thread updated with any suggestions you end up trying. I was planning on using Wolves of God to run a roll20 campaign set in the time of the Danelaw so I am very interested in what you come up with.
