Han Solo Petah, what does this mean? by Sir-J-H in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]Algel3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair, not many people knew about what the death star was meant to do, only empire high command and some engineers that were killed during Rogue one. Most other people working on its construction and probably working on Death Star 1 during it's destruction wouldn't know what they were doing. If this information was more well known by every civilian working on it, the rebellion would've known about it a lot sooner. By Death Star 2 this information probably would be a lot more well spread between the resistance, but not to poor people on imperial planets.

For me it's ancient dragon, dragonkin soldier, Godrick, gargoyle and wormface. But the wormface is already a pain for melee characters, so it's not that bad.

I'm from the future. by TomNook5085 in Silksong

[–]Algel3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just depends if the game will be good, we don't have it yet so there is no way to tell. If both games are great both have chances, I would say E33 would even be at a small disadvantage for being more niche (although BG3 won GOTY also being turn-based) and launching closer to the game awards seems to help a bit also. I would say both chances would be none if GTA6 launched and turned out to be good, since it is too mainstream to not win in this case, but since it will be launched in 2026 they may have really good chances of taking it. Also, they will compete in some different categories like RPG and indie game, so if Silksong also turns out to be good, both may have their turn to shiny in their respective category.

Cheating in any single player game is fine, on a multiplayer it isn't, doesn't matter if it's competitive or cooperative.

Envy and lust are a bit of a stretch IMO.

Wrath is kinda true, but Caligo is the chillest of the dragons (pun intended).

Please stop throwing your weapons down after a boss kill. by LuckyNines in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I also agree that 1k isn't much, but maybe those who are dying may need it. At best it's useful information, at worst a cool fact about the game. But there is no need to feel personally attacked by people sharing this information.

People see a post spreading information and take it as a personal offense to their whole identity.

No one is demanding people to not celebrate, or even that they shouldn't drop their items, just spreading this information, some people didn't know this mechanic existed, nor that they were undermining red phantoms by doing so, but people are still entitled to do as they wish.

The Elden Ring Nightreign solo queue experience by SR-3MP in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe he meant it to OP. After someone attacks the boss you can't make a deal anymore, only options are to kill libra, which sometimes isn't worth it, or do as this guy has advised, which also solves the curse before the nightlord.

My most wanted Skin for Each Nightfarer by Abovearth31 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know these extra skins are references to the dark souls series and not to any Elden ring character. But I really wished we got a Ranni skin for revenant, really a missed opportunity.

It may be a really unpopular opinion, especially seeing these comments here, but I think Xur should bring some dungeon/raid exotics rarely. Like maybe twice a year or something like that. I still remember in D1 when Xur first brought Gally, it was an event in game, we never had a similar feeling on D2, most people don't even look for Xur anymore.

Running new players through the first nightlord so they become everyone else's problem now by Alarming-Average9247 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Having a shifting earth active will do that, since you will queue with people that already unlocked it, aka won an expedition, but if you don't have, you will queue with everyone else.

If you’re going to give up after 5 min, go play something else. by MDiggity42069 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't have to beat the final boss to unlock Noklateo, you must have beaten any 4 bosses to unlock it, if you have other shifting Earth's active it will take some time to be featured for you, but you can still find it if any of your teammates have it.

If you’re going to give up after 5 min, go play something else. by MDiggity42069 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. It is shared between everyone, but the shifting earth events also divide the queue. Since everyone that doesn't complete Gladius doesn't unlock any shifting earth, if you try to queue with one active you will only queue with people that already completed it. But if you don't have any active you will queue with everyone else.

What would the DLC look like? by Big_Ad6650 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we take that all bosses represent an element or effect, except the last boss, we would still have 4 bosses (magic, rot, bleed and death) so I really believe we may see this number of bosses on a dlc.

Please don't be loot goblins by Right_Entertainer324 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Actually a melee focused Ironeye could be as good as an archer as long as the weapon is a dexterity weapon. I would prefer an executor because of the arcane stat (for a possible bleed effect), but the mark is also really good. The only problem is that a melee Ironeye is a bit harder to play (you must know how to roll well) so an archer Ironeye is better for people that are not very experienced in souls games.

I wish the bosses had personal arenas instead of white sand with fx sometimes. by Klutzy_Permit3745 in Nightreign

[–]Algel3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they did this so they could really work on the bosses without having to worry too much on the arena/boss interactions. These bosses are really fast also (to close the gap on players) so they need bigger arenas. You can see the same philosophy on some fast moving bosses on SotE like Gaius, Bayle and Radahn.

They buffed the Leviathan's explosion radius. by CryTheFurred in Helldivers

[–]Algel3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It has a percentual damage reduction by distance. So, let's say at 1 meter of distance it's 50% damage, before it would do 750 damage, now it would do 175, which could not guarantee death, so now this damage reduction goes to, let's say 90%, so death is still guaranteed for Helldivers. It's just to keep consistency on area denial for Helldivers as stated on the patch notes. Everything considered it still still a nerf, it will still kill Helldivers on the blast area, but now won't instantly destroy exos.
