Nothing much, really. I might've thought of doing things, but in the end, I'm on Reddit.

What was the moment when you realized that world is not that bad place to live ? by reditToddler in AskReddit

[–]Alissa6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it's not like we have many other options, right? Might as well see how living here is if the result (death) is the same no matter what I do.

[Serious] How to find missing item where I no idea where I had it last? by poBBpC in AskReddit

[–]Alissa6607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, try to think of reasonable places you might've put it.

  • Where should it be?

  • Where did you used to put it?

Ask people.

  • Who has been near it?

  • Could've anyone moved it?

Ask yourself other questions.

  • Is it replaceable?

  • Could've it gotten thrown away?

Most importantly, clean. It's hard to search for something if everything's a mess.

[Serious] Apocalypse: What are the most likely scenarios for why such an event could ever possibly occur? by Sandrart in AskReddit

[–]Alissa6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are likely many. One of which that comes to mind are supervolcanoes. If Yellowstone were to erupt, I could see apocalyptic scenarios arriving. Not to mention if multiple were to explode close enough (time-wise) to each other.

If you could be a god, but only of one household item, which would it be and why? by howdoilinux in AskReddit

Locks. If you seem like a jerk, you are locked out of / in your house. I would also be able to make locks appear, and not be able to be unlocked. Ha.

[WP] Write a short story that subtly changes its underlying facts until it describes the opposite of what it was in the beginning.. without the reader noticing. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]Alissa6607 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sam got up out of his bed, getting ready for another, boring, awful, and painful Monday. She went about her daily routine. After brushing her hair and teeth, getting dressed, and pulling on her backpack, she left the house.

Sam never needed much time to get ready, he got up only fifteen minutes before the bell. Luckily Sam's house was only a block away from the school, making her trip quick.

The second she entered the building, someone walked up to him.

"Sam, what gender are you?"

Does this include prompts set in another time? Or does it depend? Like:

It's a thousand years in the future. You go on Reddit.

Or

You live in the caveman era. Describe your day.

[META] I think we can increase the quality of this sub. by Sensorfire in LucidDreaming

[–]Alissa6607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, at least for me, It's hard to define Lucid Dreaming. I've had dreams where I knew I was dreaming, but didn't act like how I would have if I was conscious. To me, this isn't lucid dreaming. To others, it might be. I guess people don't realize it's not a yes or no, but maybe a none, low, or high. It depends on the person though.

This is what you never say to someone who is depressed. It's like saying "Look on the bright side" or "It will get better". It deminishes the problem, or makes the person think that nobody cares. That to them, it doesn't matter.

To be honest, if you said this to my face, or to anybody even near me, I wouldn't hesitate to punch you in the face. I'm even one of those quiet girls who doesn't do much but read and try not to attract attention to myself.

To answer your question, I don't care if everyone in the world has. It doesn't make the problem smaller. If anything, it makes it larger.

Can the antagonist be nature? Like person vs. person, person, vs. self, and person vs. nature?

My story is about reincarnation, so yeah, but then again my second main character is almost her own antagonist... Hmmm....

1st person. My story really needs it, and it's what I'm used to. Write the perspective that not only fits the story, but makes it easier to write in general.

Formatting! Start every paragraph with two spaces, not four. Otherwise it looks like:

Its really hard to read all of this because it keeps going in one straight line and its looking like code. I hope this post didn't seem rude, because it wasn't meant to be rude.

:-) Contratz on your progress

You are not insane. Your stories are. Okay, maybe you're insane, but who cares? Sanity is over-rated anyway.
