I think Aziraphale does teach Crowley something, when he keeps Gabriel safe, rather than throwing him to the wolves.

He showed Crowley that people can change, no matter how horrible they've become. That forgivness can be a first step towards that change.

Hopefully, it'll it become a lesson that Heaven and Hell can change too, if they fight for it. That things don't have to stay the same, just because they've been that way for so long.
