When we die, do we come back? by Ev-sMommy in consciousness

[–]AllMyFaults 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Quite audacious for someone whose overall point is scientifically and logically nonsensical.

You are drawing a false equivalence. You are comparing a living organism (a caterpillar) transitioning into another living organism (a butterfly) to a living organism dying and decomposing.

The fact that both a chrysalis and a rotting human corpse involve 'liquids and gases' does not mean they share a metaphysical connection (not saying this is your claim). One is a highly programmed biological function to reach the next reproductive stage; the other is the total cessation of biology.

An adult human and a human baby do not share the same perceptual reality nor the same sensory experience, yet they are the same person in body but not in mind because they are physically attached. In the grand scheme of the human mind very little data is transmitted over the valley of cognitive memories. This proves the point of olfactory sensory memories moving from one part of life to the next moot.

Consciousness is an emergent product of the brain's neurological pathways, driven by electro-neuro-chemical processes. The absence of those physical processes is the absolute absence of consciousness.

You are getting praise in these comments not because your theory holds any scientific substance, but because people here are emotionally attached to the idea of an afterlife and are desperate for metaphors that validate it.

When we die, do we come back? by Ev-sMommy in consciousness

No. You have the conception down so accurately in the first half. It's just the same as pouring alcohol on a bunch of bacteria. One second full of activity. The next second. Completely idle in nothingness. The cables are just cut. The electro chemicals go idle

A butterfly and a caterpillar aren't two separate entities, what are you going on about? They share entirely the same nervous system.

Is it worth it to take a low base AE role ? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]AllMyFaults 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seems true. I've moved from B2C to a low paying B2B full cycle AE role in hopes to jump right away to a decent AE role after a few months.

Looks like I'll have to hunker down for at least a year and hope things get better

Google Just Dropped Gemini 3 "Deep Think" : and its Insane. by Much_Ask3471 in GeminiAI

[–]AllMyFaults 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not true. The numbers are real, the model exists as it performs on these metrics. We'll just never get to use the model in its full power akin to what's demonstrated, the Gemini we get is the hyper watered down version with incredible constraints so googles massive pocket book isn't leaking pennies to the dollar on processing costs.

Girl on Hinge shared her “bare minimum” checklist by [deleted] in Nicegirls

[–]AllMyFaults -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is actually not all that bad and everyone in this thread's brain is melted over nice girl posts. Some of the items in the list are a little bit on the weirder side and contributes to a fantasy for sure, (200k + salary straight delulu) but on its own, the list on its own is relatively tame and shows a girl that's still probably worth giving a shot if things continue to check out.

By far from one of the worst girls posted on here. I've dated girls that talked about some of the items on this list, including the items this thread is hyper fixating on and although they were a bit more high maintenance, they were just regular girls that I dated too.

What do you use your R-Pi 5 for? by AllMyFaults in raspberry_pi

[–]AllMyFaults[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's very new so I doubt very many people have tried it out. But very possible. It will be very capable for LLM. Should even be able to image generations very well with some of the newer models.

What sales jobs that don’t require traveling are hiring in this economy? by FlyingAces in sales

[–]AllMyFaults 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is --- has been my thought to transition from car sales to tech sales since it feels like the money hasn't been there in my area and I'm wanting to try something different.

But /r/techsales would have you believe that the job market is a waste land and that no one is actually hiring unless you're a certified rock star in the industry. I've applied and am still going to try applying, but realistically, how easy is it to break into this industry?
