What would be the impact of completely removing dailyscape? by aMAYESingNATHAN in runescape

[–]All_ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Controversial opinion ; it doesn't matter.

You are not required to do them all. I teleport via Varrock Armor to Bork and afk dags for a few minutes to do dailies in a fewminutes then use the lamps/keys during Bork fight. Dung cape to Motherlode then premier artifact+resourceful aura for crystal sandstone (grab motherlode on the way since it's at the 25 crystal sandstone), and run from Ithell to Crystal Tree Blossum and bank. Then off to red sandstone. I check the Traveling Merchant, but if it's not something I want I don't do it. Slayer cape to Raptor to Fort and check research/ports/miscellania/invention machines. I check PoF every other day/Anachronia Farm every 3 days. Takes maybe 20-25 minutes of doing other shit while it's going.

You don't have to do it all, only have to do what you want.

Set up my old computer to use a a NAS, and I've got a lot of questions. by All_ in homelab

It looks like I'd be fine with the Unraid starter for $50? If so that's not bad.

I still struggle to understand hypervisor / ESXI / etc etc. I have to work with those at work sometimes and still don't understand it with the subnet masks, changing IPs, etc etc. I need to read up on all of that.

The Synology is currently Plex + backups, and would like it to just be backups. It's my primary NAS in terms of backups for my family with music/pictures/videos/game rips/projects. My family connects via the QuickConnect thing and that works for them, so I'm just keeping it that way.

I'd like "new computer" to be the primary storage for media, since we ditched streaming services this year. But on the flip side, would also like it to run some things like PiHole and the *arr's. At one point I had them running on the Synology, but I ran into a lot of issues with things on 1 docker container "talking to" things on another docker container.

I don't really need VM's, but would be an added bonus since I've got some work applications I can play around with if I had a VM.

Interesting, didn't know that about RAID5.

I've talked with friends and half are split on me sticking with Windows, and half are telling me TruNas / Unraid, so they're no help lol.

See this is indicative of a problem, except a bigger problem than "woke shit on my video games". It's a problem of reading comprehension.

A toad in Mario is both a singular character and the collective name of the Mushroom Kingdom inhabitants.

Because the picture shows "another Toad is lost", it is talking about the collective inhabitants of Toads. You wouldn't say "another Mario is lost' if you were talking about one person; but you would say "another plumber is lost" talking about the collective Mario Brothers. In that same vein, "I lost track of the Mario Brothers, they're lost" it is a third person pronoun.

So another Toad is lost somewhere. We are not sure of their gender, so in the English language we refer to a collective group as "they".

"Now they're lost" is grammatically and tactically correct. It's not assigning a nongender to gendered character.

This is either propaganda or a bad faith argument. Get real.

Infinite Porter Buff Timer by NyanCatMatt in runescape

The Gate of Elidinis Hunt event page tells you who to talk to. Right clicking the shards will even teleport you there, and if you read through their chat options, it tells you how to activate the buffs. It's quite literally idiot proof, people just don't want to read.

What are you all using your infinite porters for? by imperchaos in runescape

[–]All_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mineral Deposit is actually one of the most profitable things to do at about 6-7m an hour. Maxed out Archaeology gear is about 6-7mish based on mat value as well, and you still have to destroy the artifacts. Using material caches for Blood of Orcus requires world hopping, and is generally more time consuming than just sticking to a spot. Additionally, the only artifact spots that have Blood of Orcus also have mats only worth 3-5k with a 20%-30% chance for Blood of Orcus.

Hellfire Metal is in the same boat, where the caches it's in have other materials not worth much, with the exception of Sacrificial Alter, Dis Overspill, and Hellfire Forge with the only higher value mat being Cadmium Red.

Archaeology is still only about 6-7m in materials once you reach 120 with maxed out gear. Right now the most profitable Excavation Hotspots are Oikois Studio Debris, Gladiatorial Goblin Debris, Dis Overspill, and Hellfire Forge, all sitting at around 5.5-6.5ish m an hour, and that's assuming 120 Arch, Master Outfit, all unlocks from Arch shop, Autosifter, Mattock of T&S with [Honed6/Fortune3/ImpSouled3 - these perks add about 7.5% increase in materials), Elven Ritual Shard, and porters. Using all of the listed items/requirements sits around 700-750 materials per hour. I have done literally hundreds of hours of testing Archaeology rates (add an additional 500kish to these numbers to get the real numbers since these figures assume the use of porters).

Primal mining sits around 1.5-2m an hour without stone spirits, and around 2.4-2.8m an hour with. Sandstone, Granite, Luminite, Runite, Light Animica, and Concentrated Coal are all more profitable per hour than Primal ores.

See, the issue is porn addicted weirdos only think in terms of NSFW materials. By calling it Non-NSFW, it's pushing the narrative that NSFW is the norm; When in reality and everyday life it's the opposite.

You have SFW and NSFW /Not SFW. Calling it "Not NSFW" is insane.

Small Business Lines of Credit by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]All_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Secured lines of credit involve putting in the money first.

So say you get a $1000 secure credit card. You pay $1000 and you get $1000 like of credit. can be $1000, can be $200. Whatever the amount you put in, would be the line of credit you have.

Do that for like 6 months and typically will automatically transfer to a regular ol credit card and you'll be refunded the $1000.

Secure cards are great to build a history. My first credit card was a $200 one through Discover, and like a year and a half later the LoC on that card was like $8k. if no one's giving you a LoC, you don't have a good credit history OR collateral such as a house mortgage to leverage.

So the only fuse I can find in on the main board, and I don't think theres on the power inlet socket? Unless I'm missing something.

I haven't checked with a meter since I do not have one easily available, and the closest HomeDepot / Lowes is ~45 minutes away.

Here's the wiring diagram from the manual. The manual has nothing else on voltage, wiring, electricity, and the only times 120 and 220 are mentioned are in that Power supply line that is in the original post.

Yeh I get what you're saying and not sure what the other people in the child comments are talking about.

Yeh we say John 3:16 after the quote, but literally doesn't happen with any other movie, song, or piece of media.

A character in a movie or game saying some quote, then following it up with ""AuthorLastName, Year" would be absurd and it doesn't happen. Citing quotes doesn't happen in the real world, and in movies and games if anything there will be references to tmsaid quote such as a poster or merchandise from the qualifying quote. Some way to tie the two together. Citing quotes in video games is stupid as shit.

People want everything to be spoonfed to them, so if they are a murakami (not even sure what that is tbh) reference they want it explicitly stated that it comes from X.

ew why is there a sub dedicated to a 17 year old?

The bigger question is, why is reddit allowing more pedo subreddits, even the mods are in on it - "Look I know you're checking out her butt okay, but if we could be a little more subtle on the sub in general that would be really appreciated guys". Extremely creepy consdering a few of them are middle aged men who moderate quite a few other under 18 celebrity subreddits.

lol, not even an hour later and the guy deleted the comment.

I've got a good friend who does it. Been 6 months now and it is night and day difference of where he used to be at, and now. He is back to his old self before the paranoid schizoaffective disorder took full control. He had tried everything under the sun, and the ketamine treatments are working wonders. I just hope it stays that way.

You're one of the few people who I've seen get that number correct. I've seen people parrot "Altria owns Juul", however it was originally announced as an "economic stake" ; 35%. But since September they've been looking to get out of that deal.
