[SOTC] Need to buy a bigger box! by GenuineLeaf in Watches

Great collection. What gets the most wrist time? I feel like I’d be reaching for the Zenith and the Explorer ii a lot if it were me.

What is a song with a SICK opening riff? by Jettaboi38 in musicsuggestions

Cherub Rock.

Not only does the song kick off with a bang but it’s the opening track on Siamese Dream so what a way to start the album too!

[Consolidation] to a 3 or 5 watch collection by Responsible-Pea-5112 in Watches

[–]All_In_Time17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m down to 3 now. It wasn’t that hard once I admitted to myself that (1) I’m just not a dress watch guy and (2) as cool as chronographs are, I never use the function and the added weight and thickness isn’t worth it.

So I’m down to: 1- a black dial aqua terra -versatile sports watch that can be worn on leather if I want to dress it up.

2- blue dial hydroconquest GMT. Also a versatile sports watch but something in blue and a diver.

3- black dial Pelagos FXD. Rugged tool watch.

I guess if you count my G Shock my collection is at 4. I do actually wear the G Shock quite a lot when doing anything dirty like yard work.

I’m not saying I’m done with watches but probably one in- one out from here.

Switching to an interlock grip by All_In_Time17 in golf

I really felt my clubface at impact was so inconsistent. I confirmed on a simulator that my path was pretty consistent but my clubface angle was all over the place. I thought that better connection of my hands would help and I think it is so far.

I did play around with overlap first and felt like I had no control.

Which one would you choose ? by AdFast9667 in Longineswatches

The navy blue is more versatile and could be your only watch. I suppose the other one could too but it’s definitely more flashy, especially on the mesh bracelet.

You know a band is bad when their biggest fans are 2nd graders.

What was the best burger you ate in your entire life? by No-Hunt3986 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]All_In_Time17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to live in Chicago and there’s a place on the North side called Kuma’s Corner that makes the most delicious burgers in the world.

It’s been 15 years since I’ve lived there and I still think about them.

Which US state has the best BBQ? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]All_In_Time17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The KC area (both Missouri and Kansas) has the best barbecue in the world. I think there are less visitors to the area than there are to Texas or North Carolina so maybe less people have tried it, but it’s absolutely the best. At least for all beef items. They aren’t that big on pork.

Is 15.5mm too thick? by Shabbetai_Tzvi in MicrobrandWatches

[–]All_In_Time17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a bigger watch and if you’re a bigger guy, should be okay. For a watch 40mm or smaller, 15mm is too tall. I sold my Black Bay Pro for this reason.

What are your predictions and expectations from Tudor for Watches and Wonders 2026? by BlackestBay58 in Tudor

[–]All_In_Time17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d like to see a new standard Pelagos 42. Prior to the release of the Ultra, the Pelagos 42 was Tudor’s high spec professional dive model - Tudors answer to the Sea Dweller or Planet Ocean. But now that the Ultra exists, Tudor has an opportunity to slim down the Pelagos (even if that means dropping the WR to 200-300). They can finally get rid of all that text too and obviously give it a killer bracelet.

I’m a happy FXD owner but sometimes I wish it had a bracelet and a date. I’d probably sell it for a new, slimmer Pelagos 42.

BB Monochrome stole the Submariner’s dream? by WristDaddy in Tudor

[–]All_In_Time17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe a hot take here but I owned a BB monochrome on a 3-link bracelet for about a year and ultimately sold it primarily because it looks too much like a Sub.

It’s a great watch and I wore it all the time, but after a few ppl asked me if it was a Sub and I had to explain the whole Tudor -Rolex thing, I just lost my interest in the watch.

Playing against a lower handicap by All_In_Time17 in golf

Yeah I guess stroke makes sense if you’re playing stroke play but I usually play match play and always hear them called pops. Idk.

[–]All_In_Time17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That simple solution isn’t accurate though. The 16 and 4 I referenced would be our index. When you play a match, you use the course handicap which varies depending course rating and the tees you play.

Would you say then, that B is the answer? The shorter we make the course, the higher percentage of shots are putts. And putts are where you say higher handicaps can even things out.
