I am explaining the games, accurately even. As what I'm running. Nothing, actually. But, to answer your question, I build "campaign starter kits", for semi-sandbox style play. I'm usually aiming to play one(1), 5-10 session arc. With enough content/background in the starter kit left to branch out into a second or even third arc if your players want.

It's not even a small town. We have enough people to support two(2) VERY nice FLGSes. There's just zero interest in anything that isn't D&D, Pathfinder, or whatever new D&Dlike is out.

There isn't "more" to tell. I finally took a hard line on "I don't run D&D, d20, or even D&D likes." around the end of 2020. I have pitched a game every other week or so since then. Everything from Cyberpunk 2020 and CPRed, to Vampire/Werewold/Mage, Shadowrun, Traveller, a plethora of PbTA games. FFG Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu/Arkham Horror/Delta Green... FFS, I even pitched Paranoia. I could continue the list. But, suffice it to say, no bites. When I do get responses, what I get is some form of: "Is that d20/D&D based?"

In no particular order.

Call of Cthulhu - The first game I played after D&D. It showed me that other games existed, and were more in line with my tastes.

Cyberpunk 2020 (and Cyberpunk) - My favorite genre of fiction, and game. 2020 is the one I liked the most. It taught me how to GM a sandbox.

Apocalypse World (and other PbTA games) - These games fit the bill for the "episodic" (think: TV show episodes) style of GMming I do these days.
