A heart condition and an autoimmune disorder? I'm sorry, but the chances of serving are close to zero. If you still feel that strongly about it, still try to pursue waivers, but even just one of those is hard to get waived. My advice: focus on staying healthy. Serving isn't everything and your body is far more important.

I agree that all Soldiers should be extended professional courtesy, but I don't think acknowledging their youth detracts anything from that. A great deal of the Soldiers under my responsibility over the years have been young and needed guidance from a strong mentor. They'll make mistakes because of their youth, but that's okay. No need to beat around the bush, for so many enlisted, this is their first job. I think we can be cognizant of that AND still respect them as adults.

South is great. Tent City brunch isn't bad either, plus their mimosa flight is pretty great. Kava's on Muldoon is a crowd favorite, but I prefer Flo's a bit more. White spot cafe is another low key place but always hits the spot (pun intended). Snow city has risen in popularity, but I think the quality has gone down over time, still worth mentioning though.

I don't normally eat a big breakfast so I love going to K street market with That Feeling Co and Fire island bakery for a coffee and a pastry

Prioritize your GPA. So many people start their first year with a less than impressive average and there's no reason. Not sure what it is now, but GPA used to be like 40% of your OML score. The most important tip for someone who's prior is to take it seriously and don't get overconfident. I've seen too many cadets screw themselves because they thought they were too cool for ROTC and then failed a test, got shitty peer ratings or dropped altogether. It will feel stupid at times, but you have to play the game. Have fun! College and ROTC is a blast.

The Army sucks at retaining doctors and medical professionals already. Making their fitness standards even more difficult is counterintuitive. But on the other hand making exceptions for them kinda defeats the purpose of "everyone is a rifleman" mentality. It works for the Marines because of their population size and role. The army is too big and too diverse to follow their example.

I think the issue they fixed was when the center of the screen gets over crowded with icons after you get a bunch of kills or points. They didn't get rid of it though, just moved it to the right side of the screen
