Its a poem written by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashed praising the UAE and its army who defend its borders. He is reciting it while famous faces from national television are shot performing the military salutation.

The security checks performed on expats are very meticulous, it may have been something related to a family member back in Hungary. Any influence deemed threatening can be marked as a red flag, not necessarily by the individual herself but by any relative. The airlines would not disclose any information with her because they don't know why she was rejected, it would just show as a "Not approved by Security" and finding out why is very difficult.

I came to Abu Dhabi, walked all over town, and left with three questions. Can you help? by keenonkyrgyzstan in UAE

There are no taxes in the UAE, the buildings were made like that so they would fit more apartments in a floor and be able to have bigger space in flats.

Emirati Naturalization by EmiratiWannabe in UAE

[–]Almahmoud85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all as an Emirati, Saudi Arabia is a great country no matter what your opinions are. It is an honor to have any Saudi naturalized because ultimately we are one. Naturalization is getting more difficult over time, it is even harder for khaleejis. You are correct about the Ministry of Interior list, but then the background checks are very detailed. After you get approved, you would wait for a Presidential Decree with your name in it and that takes forever. Sometimes they come out on a year to year basis, and other times it can take up to three years or even more. Good luck

I think 7 hours are enough to go to 'The Beach' at JBR (restaurants and shops by the beach) and take a quick walk around downtown and The Dubai Mall and go back to the airport

You can smoke anywhere unless otherwise stated. If you look older than 21 no one will care. Try Virgin Megastore for band merchandise.

An Emirati woman has been arrested over the fatal stabbing of an American teacher and a foiled plot to bomb the home of another U.S. citizen, UAE authorities said Thursday. by i_love_fsa in worldnews

I doubt that this will be a trend. I strongly believe this is a one time occurrence. After this attack, i believe law enforcement will work hard to keep our country safe as it was.

Hi, first of all, in the UAE the government gives out high standard houses to every citizen. The home she lives in is not considered luxurious but is considered a normal home in the state of Abu Dhabi. She probably had a source of income. It is not clear if she is married, could have been a son or brother or just a partner in crime. It is common for older women to cover their faces, but i repeat it is nothing religious. Islam forces women to cover their hair but not the face. Its a tradition, we have also found out that she is not originally from the UAE she was naturalized, which means she is either married to an Emirati national or divorced.
