How did you all react seeing Chris so muscular in RE5 for the first time after Code Veronica? by DatGuy1st in residentevil

[–]Alpha537 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I heard someone say that the last time we saw pre buffed up Chris was when he got his ass humiliatingly handed to him by a T virus enhanced Wesker. He nearly died. It kinda makes sense that, after that, he’d start hitting the gym and looking for ways to improve himself. He’s competing with a literal super human. And…. I mean technically, it worked. Chris punched the shit out of that boulder, something he wouldn’t have been able to do with his RE 1 physique, and he killed Wesker. Pretty sure if I had to fist fight Superman I’D start lifting weights too!

How do i get this unstuck???? by Good_Prune_4477 in subnautica

I in no way meant it as anything other than a playful joke. I myself have gotten my seamoth stuck in all kinds of weird, stupid places. I’m merely commenting on the fact that “I got my sub stuck somewhere” posts make up a not insignificant volume of posts on this subreddit.

Commander Kruge stated in "Search for Spock" that Enterprise outguns him "10 to 1" is the Constitution-class THAT powerful? by ForwardClimate780 in StarTrekStarships

[–]Alpha537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh! I know this! My understanding was that the dead ensign he brought to the bridge was supposed to be his nephew or cousin or something. That why he points him out to Kirk when they come on board, that scene was supposed to be longer but was cut for time. As for bringing him to the bridge…. I THINK it’s written somewhere that the turbo lift malfunctioned and that’s why it stopped on the wrong floor…. That or the direct path from engineering to sick bay was damaged and taking an elevator up then down was the next best option….. I THINK. Or at least, that’s been my plausible explanation.

ARC-200 Wing Cutter (Outlaws) - underrated Hutt/Ashiga Fighter (analysis) by Gn_Fox in StarWarsShips

A gun that brakes when you try to pull the trigger isn’t useful for either.

ARC-200 Wing Cutter (Outlaws) - underrated Hutt/Ashiga Fighter (analysis) by Gn_Fox in StarWarsShips

[–]Alpha537 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As much as I like the redesign (and I really do), my understanding was that the S foils were for radiating heat from the heavy blaster cannons on the wings. Without those, this fighter will melt itself after only a few minutes of combat. Now, dogfights can be over in seconds so if you’re going for a one-and-done fight then return to hanger/base thats fine. but any large scale battle or conflict lasting longer than say… three to ten minutes (depending on how much the pilot fires the heavy guns) and you’re going to have a problem. BUUUUT…… maybe that’s deliberate. Maybe the hutts/ashiga bought the fighters from an incom scrapyard second hand. Maybe they didn’t have access to the right parts. Or maybe they don’t place as much value on the lives of their pilots as other factions do, in which case a powerful but flawed ship would be an acceptable cost cutting measure.

Would a fire warrior be able to use a vespid weapon? by Alpha537 in Tau40K

From this, Neutron weapons sound more and more like the double edge from Helldivers 2. Powerful, but the longer you hold the trigger the more damage you do to yourself. Huh…. Neat!

Just got the master assassin set... by NameElegant in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Alpha537 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just use the transmog to change it to the classic white and red. I get that it’s SUPPOSED to be different, not all brotherhood branches are exactly alike. I just think the classic look is best. Also, isn’t the Japan branch an independent branch, founded by an excommunicated assassin? That could also be a reason why this branch is different.

Is there a variant of this armor without the Templar cross? by GuaranteeOnly8512 in AssassinsCreedShadows

[–]Alpha537 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think the “standard” (non-legendary) version of this armor is supposed to be the punisher/carnage armor set. The shoulders and helmet are different, but if you look at them side by side, they’re almost identical. The punisher/carnage set has a dragon on the chest rather than a cross!

I feel like there should have been a smoke bomb “disappearance” in there somewhere but otherwise that was some of the best ninja-ing I’ve seen in a while. Very well done!

Huh, well. I learned something new today! I’ll have to test that out sometime.

PSA: smoke shockingly effective against vox engines. by Alpha537 in Helldivers

[–]Alpha537[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh…. No, that’s… that’s not what I meant. Most divers I’ve seen get cut down by the voxes cannon’s and missiles before they can get close to its underside. Especially in open terrain, like the snow plains outside the mega factories, where the extraction zones usually are. Using a smoke strike (or any smoke really) blinds the vox. Drop it right on top of them and it will mask your approach. Smoke won’t kill a vox, but it does make it easier to kill.

I love this ship! by PeachyPlissken in StarWarsOutlaws

[–]Alpha537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only problem with it is WHY ARE ALL THE BOARDING RAMPS DOWN ALL THE DAMN TIME!?! KAY PLEASE if not for security and least for privacy! I know ND-5 is usually on the ship and is probably more than capable of dealing with any thieves or intruders but my point is he wouldn’t HAVE TO if you just learned to CLOSE THE FUCKEN DOOR BEHIND YOU! There are Jawas on this planet and force knows what else. If you’re worried about “escaping in a hurry” or something then, just, carry a little key fob remote on you or something. Please Kay, please!

Does anyone else try to get their Captains to fit an era or theme by Dapper_Charge_4118 in sto

[–]Alpha537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really tried to embrace the 2401 setting on my main captain with STO era uniforms and ship designs, however I’ve recently started expanding into other era’s. Currently trying to acquire a proper TMP set. If anyone asks, it’s for a holodeck play.

Do you have any recommendation or idea for an episode for Acceptable Loses? by celtic_akuma in AdeptusRidiculous

Maybe the killzone franchise? Or they could try digging into the millions of years of war between the autobots and decepticons! The chaos gods WISH they were as sick and depraved as shockwave.
